    Exclamation General Information

Hi guys, been a long time I haven't came on here. I was wondering something concerning Bf4 Beta

    My friend Computer is a
    Windows 7 64bit
    Asus Maximus V Formula
    Intel i5-2500 3.3Ghz OC to 4.3Ghz
    Nvidia Gtx760 2GB + Gtx560 1GB ( dedi PhysX )
    8GB DDR3 @ 1866MHz
    Kingston SSD 256GB

He can't even run everything in ultra without getting fps drops. On loading screen he is getting 30 fps constantly, but once he gets in the game without action he can reach 50fps but once there a peak he drops to 5 fps.

I did put it to Minimum spec and still have fps drops

    My computer spec are:
    Windows 8 64bit
    Asus Maximus V formula
    Intel i7-2600 3.4Ghz OC to 4.5Ghz
    Nvidia Gtx670 2GB
    16GB DDR3 @ 2133MHz
    OCZ Vertex 3 120GB + 60 GB

Running everything in ultra and constantly have 70 fps, no drops or anything.

The only difference between our computer are the CPU, I have one using Hyper-thread and he don't, also that I use Win8 and he isn't. So anyony has an idea on what it could be.

My next step would be a VRAM test, but I can see that Bf4 use 99% of his CPU.

    Thanks in advance !

    You're telling me this guy has a Nvidia Gtx760 2GB + Gtx560 1GB and a 256GB SSD and it can't play BF4 on minimum? That's ridiculous.

Is this a problem with strictly BF4 or is it occurring with every game? If every game: He should check all the connections to his motherboard, check the power source, check his cooling system, make sure every component is working properly. Update every single one of his drivers and try again. If then no avail, try compatibility mode, reinstalling the game, defragmenting, getting a new processor, and ultimately giving up.

Only so much you can do haha

Never recommend using SLI with different cards. Probably the reason for low fps, tell him to try with one.

I read that win8 manages the ressources a lot better. This said i dont see how his computer would not be able to run it. My advice :
BF4 if in beta right now, wiait till full version, then check if same problems. Dont juge from the beta, its called a beta for a reason.

    I hope this helps

Operating system doesn't implicate SLI performance. If you know how SLI works you'd know they each card takes turn to render frames, a slower card than another can lower fps from both in total.

    @Hallow; it's only with bf4. On BO2 he is at 200fps constant

First he is not in SLI, we put the gtx760 to be the main gpu and use the 560 for PhysX only.

Concerning the driver update, we both use the beta driver from nvidia.

For the windows 8 I read up somewhere that bf4 requires dx11, and that win8 support dx11.1. And that win7 don't.

So yes, OS helps performance focus on giving good answers and not being so rude.

That is because the real drivers didnt come out yet and you are running it with bf4 beta drivers it will be alot smoother once drivers are more updated
