almost done!!!!!
putting the finishing touches on it.....it works fairly well, takes a hella lot of power, and the screen was very hard to hack up, ill start positing pictures once its totally done.

so many of you may know me, as a kid who spells stuff wrong and is rather clumsy. but i am acttually quite skilled when it comes to hardware. if you are interested in converting or "hacking" (breaking open and modifying) hardware ill will be glad to help.

ok, so i started construction on the bottom coolant plate, i am adding one in because i dont think that there is enough ventlation on the bottom, all the plate will do is provide an extra 8 degres celicus, it will be inserted, next to the two ball-bared 7200 rpm fans,
this is what the normal bottom should look like,

this is what i am doing,

i have made the bottom, I cut from 0.080-inch thick aluminum, which should be enough to hold the hefty load of the dvd drive, and the chip set, i am praying that the side walls (made of will be able to hold up the 3 pound dell flat pannel monotor, by the way, the side walls are made of a material called Sintra (also goes by Komatex). This is a PVC plastic that you could think of as very high density Styrofoam. well thats all i got so far, ill post the full frame degisn later today or early tommorrow =)

ok so i got a blade, cut out the first open vent,

o and the lquid collant pump costed, 89e, (frigging expensive), so i have to be really careful when i splice its power (to connect it ot the power brick).
(first air coolant, still uses water, but it only vents)

this is the one that will actually circulate the water between the plates.

first problem encountered: [issue with 17 inch screen],l estimeated delay 3-4 days

ok so i was moving along (a little slow) i got the plates togeather, most of the caps are done or in progress, but i noticed that my 17inch monotor is going to be differetn because it uses more power, and has a weird cable input, (dont know why) but since i dont have money for a new monotor, i have to built a specila cable, project will be delayed for 4-5 days becasue i have to melt ribbion cable togeather. and to resolve the power issue, i will be increseing the input by lowering the network card inoput, causing (adding) aprox 200ms of lag, (not to much, current ping is only 390ish so ading 200 bring us to 590, which isnt all that bad)

[first modification idea] using/installing Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 on it to get more fetures, ill have to read up on media center to see what it offers, it woul dbe neat to be able to watch tv and play halo on the go.

Looks like a really cool project. Let us know how you advance. Did you make the Aliminium plate yourself?

yes, i made the plate me self, alatho its actually two sheets spaced 2mm apart, so that i can run 60 degree (farenhiet) distilled water through it (liquid colling) becuause as i noted, i want it to be coller after i caculated and found that it would get to a tosty 80 degrees in side, (to warm in my opinion). the plate degisn will be post later as i have to get a new balde for my cnc cutter.

well, its quite simple, and when you playing wiht the chips, and unsodering tehm, you use a low powered sodering iron, and ya its a little risk.
