Twilight-the movie
The movie based on the novel Twilight was very disappointing. I adore the novel, and I knew the movie could never ever be better than the book. But that the movie would be on such a low level, was sad.
First of all, in the movie are missing lots of important scenes, which happend in the novel. The movie felt like a short summary of the book. The movie does not show the romantic part of the novel, more the action and dangerous parts. Seriously, if I just had seen the movie, I would not have understand Bella, how she could fall in love with Edward. He was like being pissed off all the time, no sweetness or romance. Just one time, when he kissed her for the first time he seemed to be in love. But most of the time, he was more like an obsessed bodyguard than like a sweet boyfriend. The story must have looked stupid for somebody, who had not read the book.
Bella Swan, played by Kristen Steward, was really good, especially in the scene when she fights against James, and was close to be transformed into a vampire. Sometimes she exaggerates when she tried to show some emotions like fear. But it was not that bad. Also she looked a bit like Bella
She is small, thin, fragile, pale and has big eyes.
Kristen is a great actress, and that is what she just revealed with Twilight.
Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, was in many (female) eyes just perfect. The main characteristic on Edward is the way he looks like- just perfect! Robert Pattinson ir very godd-looking. His hair, his style, the way he looked at Bella- that was so "Edward"! Isn't it ironic, that Robert Pattinson played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter? Well, it seems as if "Rob" likes being part of the picturization of a bestseller. But yes, he did a great job while playing Edward, a bit too serious and dangerous, but at least he looked good.
So for somebody who has not read the novel, the movie must have been very long and boring. As I read the novel, I felt disappointed. That does not mean, that I hate the movie. I actually left the cinema with a good feeling, but I guess that was Robert Pattinsons fault
But still, I hope that the second novel „New Moon“ will be picturized better than Twilight.
I recommend to read the book first, because I believe, that if you see the movie first, you will not read the book anymore (and that would be so sad). The movie is just like the cherry on the cake and a little help for your imagination
