| Start Programming Hey everybody, after I got an informatics course at school which wasn't really helpful I wanna learn programming on my own. But I dont know what's the first step. What should I learn first? I would be glad for some advices. Thx :-*  |

| html is the easyest in my opinion. however c++ is the most popular. one of the more harder ones to. depending on what your going to be doing heres a list of the more popular ones.. java c c++ lua php and html those are the big ones. and the ones you should start with. LUA is very hard to find tutorials on so you might be serching for that one a long time. and when working with languages such as the ones listed above you also need to learn how to compile. expecialy with c++ and LUA. | facepalm.jpg How can you recommend C++ when he stated he has no programming base? C++ is a low level object orientated programming language and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for beginners. It was my first programming language and I didn't find it VERY easy. Or...what the hell, ASM? The code gives me a seizure and it's damn complicated. HTML is NOT a programming language, it's a web markup language. My recommendation would be C#, or if you have problems learning that, then AutoIT. |

| Thx a lot for those quick answers. I think most of you said c++ so I'm going to start with that. But one more question do you guys maybe know a tutorial on german ? I think c++ is hard enough to learn I dont want to have to concentrate on the english explanations. Thx :kiss: |
