| Make Your Own Custom Icons For Applications HOW TO: MAKE YOUR OWN CUSTOM ICONS FOR APPLICATIONS Step 1 Go to Start > Accessories > Paint Step 2
Go to Image > Attributes Step 3
In the new window that opened write 32 in both fields, and make sure u clicked on Pixel as unit. Step 4
Now,you should have a working field of this size.Just paint it with anything u want, draw, add text, play.
Now,When you are done just click on File > Save As > anywhere you want to,MAKE SURE YOU HAVE .ICO AFTER THE FILE NAME.So the computer can recognise the extension, that it is an icon Example: Myownicon.ico
When you have saved it somewhere, just right click the application of which icon you want to change, and click Properties > Customize > Change Icon and click on the browse field, now just go to the directory where you've saved your icon, click the icon and click okay.
And voila, what do you know, you made your own custom icon!
Now,If you want a real HD picture, just put it in some other program that can crop, resize it to 32 x 32 pixels and do the same.Hereis the site that has that part explained.
