How to powerlevel in Act 2 (Solo)

    Hey guys.

Thought I would share a quick video of me running the so-called "2-2-2" or "2-2b" XP-farming.

Note: I am not wearing optimal gear or have an optimal build for running this, but it still gives me loads of XP doing this.

    Some stats from gear/follower's gear:
    +21% XP per kill
    +42 XP per kill

    2 runs on level 39:
    XP on run 1: 29,819
    XP on run 2: 29,750
Which is just above 1 bar per run, or 1 tenth of a level on ~1min to 1,5 min

    Edit on effectiveness:
It took me 11 minutes and 24 seconds to complete 11 runs and go from level 40->41.
Also forgot to tell that this is done by me on Nightmare, and I did it on lower levels on Normal, and will probably be doing at higher levels at Hell.

Written guide of how to perform the run:
    1. Select quest 2-2b (Act II -> 2. The Road to Alcarnus -> Lieutenant Vachem)
    2. Start game and go to the waypoint "Khasim Outpost".
    3. Talk to Lieutenant Vachem.
    4. Enter the Command Post.
    5. Kill the enemies inside, and open the cage.
    6. Go outside and kill the enemies until you get quest complete.
    7. Town Portal -> Leave game
    8. Re-do steps 1 through 7 as many times as wanted.

I can't remember who but I've already seen this and tried it several times with X-Räi IIRC
It's working all fine and was yet the easiest if not even fastest way to farm.

I'm also working on an bot for that. Let's see how I will do. If it's worth it I might release it public.

I will post the "bot" that I use. I like to do the farming myself, but I automated the Leave game -> Change Quest -> Start game process.

    Source code:
    Code:
    #Include <Clipboard.au3>HotKeySet("{END}","_end")
    HotKeySet("|","_restart_quest")
    HotKeySet("{PGUP}","_getPos")

    Func _restart_quest()
    	BlockInput(1)
    	Send("{SPACE}") ; Close pop-up box
    	Sleep(50)
    	Send("T") ; Town Portal
    	Sleep(6000)
    	Send("{ESC}") ; Open Menu
    	Sleep(50)

    	$LGx = Random(570,775,1)
    	$LGy = Random(407,419,1)
    	MouseClick("LEFT",$LGx,$LGy) ; Click Leave game
    	sleep(1000)

    	$CQx = Random(58,265,1)
    	$CQy = Random(336,357,1)
    	MouseClick("LEFT",$CQx,$CQy) ; Click Change Quest
    	sleep(100)

    	$S2bx = Random(283,519,1)
    	$S2by = Random(505,516,1)
    	MouseClick("LEFT",$S2bx,$S2by) ; Click to select 2-2b
    	sleep(100)

    	$SQx = Random(750,953,1)
    	$SQy = Random(605,624,1)
MouseClick("LEFT",$SQx,$SQy) ; Click to select quest
    	sleep(100)

    	$OKx = Random(542,654,1)
    	$OKy = Random(442,460,1)
    	MouseClick("LEFT",$OKx,$OKy) ; Click OK on pop-up box
    	sleep(100)

    	$SGx = Random(57,269,1)
    	$SGy = Random(280,311,1)
    	MouseClick("LEFT",$SGx,$SGy) ; Click Start Game

    	BlockInput(0)
    EndFunc

    Func _getPos()
    	$pos = MouseGetPos()
    	_ClipBoard_SetData($pos[0]&" , "&$pos[1])
    EndFunc

    Func _end()
    Exit 0
    EndFunc

    WinActivate("Diablo III")
    While 1
    Wend
    Notes:
'|' once done with the quest.
'Page Up' to get X and Y coordinates of the mouse
    'End' to close the script.
Set up to work with 1360x768 resolution, and my computer's speed (You might need to adjust this)
Set up to click a random place on the button each time, as an extra safety against getting banned for repetive/bot behaviour

    What it does for you:
    -Close the Quest pop-up box
    -TP to town
    -Leave game
-Fully change quest to 2-2b again
    -Start game

Feel free to add more functionality using pixelsearch and such to get it fully automated

This seems to be one of the better farming methods now that 3-1 catapult farming was made impossible last patch

    Hawt.

As you already block the users input (BlockInput (1)) why don't you use ControlClick/ControlSend also?
It will allow you to send clicks/commands/strings directly to a specifc window without interrupting your mouse-movement/keyboard-usage.
    Code:
    ControlClick ( "title", "text", "controlID" , "button" , clicks , x , y )
    ControlClick ("Diablo III","","","primary", 1, x, y)

ControlSend ( "title", "text", "controlID", "string" , flag )
    Controlsend ("Diablo III","","","{BACKSPACE}",0)
I'm using this just as we speak to improve my own bot.

Is there a gain by using ControlClick/Send, vs Send/MouseClick? I know the bot will always be in D3, so to me it just seems like a whole lot of nothing

Uhm, basically you can have the bot running in the background while you do something else (as long as the window is opened) in the foreground.
The bot will send the clicks DIRECTLY to the specific window. It won't interfere with your actions
