List of DF hacks

This is a comprehensive list of all the basic hacks in dargonfable that I know of and used before. The hacks are shown step by step.
Some of this hacks may may already be on the forums.

All of these hacks have been tested and is working as of 25 october 2008.

Information for all hacks:
Before doing any hacks, open up dragonfable first.
Then, go to the process list, select window list and find and select the dragonfable window.
Make sure value type is 4 bytes, if it isin't, change it to 4 bytes.
All values are to be multiplied by 8 unless otherwise specified. Usually, I will still tell you to multiply it by 8, but even if I forget, still multiply it
by 8 unless I specifically tell you not to multiply it b 8.
If I say the target, it means you or the enemy or whatever it is that is being hacked. (example: if you want to hack the enemy's HP, the target refers to the
enemy.)

HP Hack
Allows you to modify the HP of you or your enemies.
1. Enter a battle.
2. Enter the value of the target's HP multiplied by 8 into the value box.
3. Search with exact value.
4. Let target's HP change, by damage or by healing, it doesn' matter.
5. Enter new value of the target's HP multipled by eight into value box.
6. Search with exact value.
7. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 4 to 6.
8. Double click address left to add it to the list.
9. Change it to whatever value you want. Make sure it is divisible by 8. The value you see will be the value you put in divided by 8. If it is not divisible
by 8, the game will crash.
10. If you want to, freeze the address to lock it so the value can't change.
This hack can be used make your HP very high or set an enemy's Hp to 0 (or any number you wish).
Apparently, if you set Hp to extremely high values, the enemy's damage will also increase to the point to doing very high amounts of damage to you, althrough
you most likely won't get killed in 1 hit.
However, it's best to just freeze you HP to you maximum so you just don't die.
Also, you can set enemies' HP to 0 so you can kill them in 1 hit on the next turn.
Can also be used with decreased/increased value search, but you may need to search more.

Mana Hack
Allows you to modify MP of you are your enemies.
1. Enter a battle.
2. Enter the value of the target's MP multiplied by 8 into the value box.
3. Search with exact value.
4. Let target's MP change, decrease or increase, it doesn' matter.
5. Enter new value of the target's MP multipled by eight into value box.
6. Search with exact value.
7. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 4 to 6.
8. Double click address left to add it to the list.
9. Change it to whatever value you want. Make sure it is divisible by 8. The value you see will be the value you put in divided by 8. If it is not divisible
by 8, the game will crash.
10. If you want to, freeze the address to lock it so the value can't change.
This hack is usually used to lock the amount of MP you have so you don't run out of MP.
Usually, most enemies don't use MP, so this is useless against most enemies.
However, some enemies such as the faries use MP, but as far as I know of, only the faries use MP and they use it to heal. They usually have low MP, so it's
usually easier to just damage their MP to 0.
Can also be used with decreased/increased value search, but you may need to search more.

Damage Hack
Allows you to modify damage done.
1. Enter the value of the minimum damage multiplied by 8 into the value box.
2. Exact value search.
3. Change weapon to a weapon with different minimum damage.
4. Enter the value of the new minimum damage multiplied by 8 into the value box.
5. Exact value search.
6. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 1 to 5, preferably with different weapons but the same weapons can be used
again just make sure minimum value changes each time you search.
7. Double click address to add it to list.
8. Repeat steps 1 to 7 but this time, use the maximum value.
9. Now, you should have both the minimum and maximum value. Set it to whatever value you want an freeze. If you don't freeze, it will revert back to original
damage. Ensure value is divisible by 8. If not, the game may crash. Also make sure minimum is smaller than maximum.
When I did testing, I had 10 points to strength and it added 5 damage on top of the values set.
Apparently, the maximum value you can set it to is 86 damage done, which is 688 when entered in.
When I increased it over 688 or make the maximum bigger than the minimum, the damage dealt becomes 49 and stays fixed. I'm not sure if strength affects this
damage.
Also, when I made the numbers not divisible by 8, the game crashed on me. I'm not sure if it always happens through.

Cooldown hack
Changes cooldown time
1. Enter a battle and use a skill.
2. On the next turn, check the cooldown. Enter the value of this cooldown multipled by 8 into the value box.
3. Wait 1 turn, and check the cooldown again. Enter value of new cooldown multipled by 8 into value box.
4. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 1 to 3.
5. If the cooldown is over, the value for the cooldown is 0.
6. Double click address to add to list.
7. Change value to whatever number you want. Ensure it is divisible by 8. 0 is suggested.
8. Freeeze if you want.
This is usually done so you can repeatedly use a skill, such as multi-hit. Goes well with mana hack.
If you freeze it at 0, the value stays useable permanently so long as other conditions are fufilled, such having an attack hit for double attack.

Money hack
Gives you 2000 gold each round.
1. Open up quest log and go to oaklore section. Select "Go to Sir valance".
2. Now, at oaklore, take Sir valance's defend the keep quest.
3. Defeat 1 sneevil. Enter the value of gold gotten multiplied by 8 into value box.
4. Exact value search.
5. Defeat another sneevil. Check the amount of temporary gold you have at your profile (the gold in the brackets). Enter this value multiplied by 8 into
value box.
6. Exact value search.
7. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 5 to 6.
8. Double click this address to add to the list.
9. change value to 16000 and freeze. Setting it higher won't help. You can set it lower through.
10. Finish quest or just exit.
You will get 2k each round you do this. If you set it lower, you will get less gold.
Don't do this too much in 1 day or you may get suspended or banned.
Apparently, when i did this quest from the quest log, I didn't get as much money. Thus, I put it specifically to go to oaklore and personally get the quest
from him.

Experience hack
Gain experience.
1. Take any quest.
2. Defeat 1 enemy. Enter the value of experience gotten multiplied by 8 into value box.
3. Exact value search.
4. Defeat another enemy. Check the amount of temporary experience you have at your profile (the experience in the brackets). Enter this value multiplied by 8
into value box.
5. Exact value search.
6. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 4 to 5.
7. Double click this address to add to the list.
8. change value any amount you want. Ensure it is divisible by 8.
9. Finish quest or just exit.
You will get the amount of exp of the value you changed it to divided by 8.
It caps when you go to the next level, so you have to do this hack multiple times to gain more levels.
Don't do this too much or you may get suspended or banned.

Stat hack
Changes your stats.
NOTE:
I arbitrarily seperate the stats into 2 different types.
Strength, int, dexterity... etc. are normal stats.
The stats under Defense and offense, such as parry, dodge...etc. are battle stats.
There are 2 variations of this hack, for normal stats and battle stats.

Normal stats
1. Equip a equpiment that changes the stat that you want to change.
2. Enter the value changed by multipled by 8 into value box. If you check your profile, this is shown by a blue number next to the stat.
3. Exact value search.
4. Change equipment or equip another one that changes the stat. If you have no other equipment, remove it. Just ensure the blue number is changed.
5. Go to profile and check the blue number again. Enter this value multipled by 8 into value box. If there is no blue number, the value is 0.
6. Exact value search.
6. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 4 to 6.
7. Double click this address to add to the list.
8. Change value to whatever you want. Ensure it is divisible by 8.
This will allow you to change the stat without retraining. However, you need at least 1 equipment the changes the stat first.

Battle stats
1. Equip a equpiment that changes the stat that you want to change.
1. Check your profile, Enter the value of the stat that you want to change multipled by 8 into value box.
3. Exact value search.
4. Change equipment or equip another one that changes the stat. If you have no other equipment, remove it. Just ensure the stat is changed.
5. Go to profile and check the stat again. Enter this value multipled by 8 into value box.
6. Exact value search.
6. There should be only 1 value left. If there is more than 1 value, repeat steps 4 to 6.
7. Double click this address to add to the list.
8. Change value to whatever you want. Ensure it is divisible by 8.
Again, you will need at least 1 equipment that changes the stat first.

This took me so long to type out. XD
