between norton and avira,
its definitely avira FOR ME,
based on nothing but my opinion
avira is less annoying and easier to handle and simply seems to be more effective.
looking the free-version as well as the prem-version (had both free and prem, exchanged the firewall though, too strong )
and norton seems to cause a lot more troubles
which however even beats avira premium by miles, is nod32.
I am 100% satisfied.
more and faster updates, more useful and better looking features (for me), even easier to configure, somewhat slim,
WAY less false positives (looking at both programs set to medium detection rate)

i think everyone likes avira lol no1 likes norton.
I will have to say, "Norton" because I haven't used Avira.
I still prefer Eset Nod32/Smart security Best one in my view.

finally some1 who likes norton.
In my opinion norton is just crap...
It uses way more memory/cpu than any other AV.
It complains about everything you try to do.
and last but not least: it does not detect the real threats, instead it complains about internet explorer trying to connect to bla bla bla...
Nod32 is the antivirus i use, it is really easy on the system.
It only bugs you if there is something REALLY important.
and: Its easy to find free keys for it heh....
My car is not leaking oil?
Its marking its territory!
but avira takes way longer to scan.
Norton for me,
i personally use ESET SS for Win7.
i started with a 30 free trial, and then i looked for sites with retail keys.
i've been using it since win7 came out,
and i think its pretty good.
avira is free thts wht im jelous about , norton u need to pay . to get a key.
I use AVG.... LOL jks
Norton is good but it takes quite much CPU.
But i dont know what Avira is so my vote is on Norton!
