1. Go to run in start
2. run "cmd" (remove the " )
3. type in "ping [website adress here]" (remove the " )
4.you'll be given a site IP address, look something like this 12.566.39.12 (random)
5. enter this into the address bar and you should end up looking at the site you want.

just started using this today, worked well enough for web browsing.

1- Leave your computer on before you leave for school, make sure to change the power saving settings so that it won't power down due to inactivity.

2- Download teamviewer (the full version, for windows if that is what you use at home).

3- set the password for your computer (click on the "Password" field and then on "Set user defined password".

4- write down the ID and the password you set

5- go to school

6- download the mac version of teamviewer and save the file to your personal workspace (DON'T RUN IT).

7- once it is saved to your personal workspace, run the application, there should be an option to run it without installation (haven't used the mac version, but I would assume that the windows and mac versions are essentially the same), run it.

8- once you get the main window, enter your home computer ID in the "Create Session" box, and select "remote assistance" (the default setting).

9- hit connect, and if the school hasn't blocked the ports teamviewer uses, and your computer at home is on and connected to the internet, you should be prompted for a password, enter the one you set at home.

10- enjoy browsing any sites you wish.

sorry for the wall of text, it doesn't really take very long IRL.

Maybe i should say more this is a school oard moderated thing so we all have these accounts on every computer so we can login to any computer in the whole school and we never go on the same computer every time. And also it will not allow us to download anything

I always bring games on a 1gb USB key. Just store all your download stuff on there. And if you download a .dmg file and you can't run it on your windows ( Which you can't) Dont worry, it'll run when you plug it into a mac.
