For example wc3 (okay bad example nvm), you send you command, onlive gets your command, sends it to the host, host uses it, send result to onlive, onlive sends to you. should definitely make a different to direct-to-host connection...

The idea is original though ;D
But you should consider a new pc facing those costs (I cant rate them, I think there is a huge load of effort in this project, i dunno if the costs are justified...)
Why should onLive send the request to me? Onlive does all the traffic back and forth from the host, the only thing beeing sent from us to onlive is keystrokes etc, then onlive processes it, does all the game stuff and send image back to you...
I guess it may cause some lagg with the keyboard tho *thinks*
Latency between game host and client should not be much affected.

hmm, well yeah latency is pretty much the wrong word.
I meant: Since onlive processes the info which is coming from the host and sends it to you, you have to react. (I assume there is a delay, little or w/e, i dont know), now you react AND once again, there is an instance between you and the host.
Others wont have this delays, and of course they wont even see it, since your ping (or latency in that context) is perfectly fine.
So you "real ping" (I dont know how to call this) should be higher, than it normally is. And I find playing with more than 100ms more difficult than >100ms, no matter if fps or rts.
This kind of "realping" would be even more problematic than a normal-higher ping.
Hard to explain and maybe I am talking trash at all ^^

I for example have an internet line with 12mbps down and around 5mbps up.... I believe a line like that can support quite alot of bandwith going back and forth. The computer sucks monkey ...... It has 512mb RAM (DDR Guys!!! Not DDR2 or DDR3). a 3ghz intel pentium 4 processor (OK for me.... nothing big but its my ram lacking behind i guess, and i am not going to buy 1 GB for 90 USD... Or, the dollar currency is so low now, it will cost me more than 90).
My ISP dont choke me in any way, i can use as much bandwidth i want, up to 12mbps. I pay nothing more no matter how much data i transfer.
So: For me, this seems like a fairly nice idea, untill i saw the pricing. I can go buy myself a new computer instead of paying for that shit
    90USD!? Kidding right? xD
Made a search and check this..
1gb ram | Compare, and buy cheap 1gb ram RAM (Random Access Memory) | Computer Memory at DealTime CHEAP lol ... in a shop here I can buy for 40€ but online you can get for 25€ or cheaper..depends where you buy..just make a search

In my opinion, it will be a little fail. Why? Because in some countries they dont have connection 1,5+ Mbps, or faster, VOD or AOD is better.
JrMn Only one JerMen of this kind. ^˙_˙^
