What is DotA exatly?

DotA = Defense of the Ancients

Objective: Kill your enemy while learning cool spells, getting Attack, Damage, Armor, etc. upgrades and what not. It is pretty fun after you play it for a while.

Dota rocks indeed to learn how to play it you must have frozen throne installed and then go Official DotA Allstars Downloads and download the latest map xD

You need Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and Warcraft III: Frozen Throne installed in order to play. Go to Official DotA Allstars Downloads to download the latest version. Do also download the AI version, so you can play offline with bots.

Put the maps you download into C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Maps\Downloads\, and then run Warcraft III: Frozen Throne. Click Single Player and then Custom Game. Find the map you downloaded, and click start. When you start, write this into the chat: "-apem". This enables the mode "All Pick" and "Easy Mode". This way, creeps have less hp than normal, and you can choose from every hero you want. You could also use "-arem" to get "All Random", instead of All Pick. When you have tested the game (Try & fail method), you should visit DotA-Allstars.com - Welcome and go to the forum to read some strategies.

Then, when you are ready, start one of the AI maps, and set one easy bot against you. Then you will play against a computer-played hero.
I suggest that you do NOT use cheats such as "greedisgood" or something like that, as the computer get's money too then, and they know what to buy.

When you handle to take out bots, you can go into Battle.Net instead of Single Player, and when logged in, go to Custom Games and join a DotA game. These are very common. A tip is to check Official DotA Allstars Downloads before logging into Battle.Net when you want to play, as then you do not have to worry about people kicking you out from games because of you do not have the map.

That was just some few tips. It takes too long time to write a fully guide.

Just do what the posts here says and then go get the latest map then you join chanel /allstars(for eu server) and then you w8 for a game to come up

The high lvl players channel is /clan dce:d

BTW if you need to join a channel press /j allstars for example

Cheaters is just fun.

Me and Infernal, 2on2, we play without hacks, and if they play with hacks, we do not care, as we own them anyway xD There is a screenshot from the DotA tournament we were supposed to have, which just became a fiasko, as people lived across the world. Well, Me and Infernal had awesome stats
