    German Help

Can a native German speaker edit this text? It needs to be in imperfekt tense.

    Thanks!

I guess it would be easier if you post the english text, because some sentences are hard to understand, due to google translate.

This is the general gist of the essay. Thanks for responding!

Music plays an important role in our lives. It helps us to relax and can even help us to focus. Music has been around for a long time, and looking at it generally, a lot of the first composers were born in Germany; Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms to name a few. Of the three Bs, Johannes Brahms stands out the most. He has always been an important figure in my musical career.

In 1833 Johannes Brahms was born in Hamburg. His father, Johann Brahms was a musician from a small town called Dithmarschen. Johannes learned to play various instruments as a child, as his father gave him music lessons. He started early in his life to compose, but not appreciate his works. John quickly became known after a concert tour at the age of nineteen years. He traveled through Europe, performing primarily in Vienna, Austria. Johannes eventually bought a house in Vienna and led many musical groups and composed several works, including two serenades, four symphonies, two piano concertos, a violin concerto, a double concerto (for violin and cello) and two companion orchestral overtures. Because of his gift of music, he was made an honorary citizen of the city of Hamburg. Unfortunately, Brahms, age 63, died of cancer in April 1897 shortly after completing his 121st opus. He is buried in the central cemetery in Vienna.

In conclusion, Johannes Brahms helped shape music, classical or not, to what it is today. During his time, Brahms wrote piece after piece of beautiful music that kept modern music alive. Without composers like him, the quality of the music would either not exist, or would not be worth listening to. I am glad that Brahms inspired so many young people, including myself, to be creative and explore the musical world, while continuing their education.

I had Spanish for 4 years in school and I can't even make a single proper sentence if it's not asking what their name is. I still got a decent grade because I added an "o" after swedish words because it was a "studying technique"

    That explains why you're Sio.

And by the way, I already submitted this essay so thanks for those who at least tried to help.
