GW2 will be called "Eye of the North", and it stills under developenet..


* 27/03/07 - Offcial anouncement of the developing of GW2.
* Beta test public release on 2008.
* Outcoming unkown.

Guild Wars 2 GW2 will be playewd in the lands of tyria but hundreads of years later of the date in GW, so it will be the future of GW(1).
There will be new races. Some of them we allready know, others will be discovered during game play.BUT! others will be chosen for play, so you can select the race of Human, Char, Asura, Norn or Sylvari.



There will be new areas liek in wow L2 etc,there you will meet other players/grooups while making misions,etc. But some areas will be the same as now, only for you ant your gropu. The most exciting are the called " chains of events " (well, maybe wrong translated from spanish to english by me =) ) .....

For example, randomly selected every X time ( 4-6-7-.... Hours ) one big dragon will fly above the main city ( such ascalon now ) and the players can ally for kill them ( groups of 100-200 players :O ) for stop/kill him. if they do it, they get a reward (gp/items/etc.. ), if not, the dragon will destroy a bridge.
If its destroyed, the city peasants* will repair it.Then some stealers will go to kill the peasants and steal the materials for rebiuld it and ( another time ) the people can ally for stop them, and they get another reward,etc ans so on.. So the decisions of the people can affect other players, etc .. =)

People now can jump, swim (great for kill naga ), and take vertical stairs =)
People can reach 100 or more Levels :O !! The ability system will change too.. depending if you are jumping, killing or being killed the spells willt ake an effect or other.. The Characters of GW(1) cannot travel to GW2 , but the epic victories, actions, etc will be recorded for in GW2 obtain special minipets/ items /weapons, etc =) ( im not sure but maybe if you got the titple of tyria explorer you get an item with bonus pints for skills etc.. and so on ^^ )

The implementation of servers will change the pvp play, so you can meet the players of your server for kill other servers team (like spanish server vs English servers, etc D ) but you can still go to other server [now called districts (well i think its a bad translation.. i menat the " english one district*/spanish 1 * /etc)] sfor play with your friends ^^
A new PvP system that i didnt understood :S so i cant explain it by now ( maybe i will edit the post in some days for post it if i get it ^^ )

SO..

* No monthly cuotes .. like now ^^
* New wildness sytem ( where you meet other groups of people etc .. expalined above ).
* New races: Humanos, Char, Asura, Norn and Sylvari.
* New movements like jump , swim ,etc...
* 100 levels or more ( character levels ).
* An new pvp: World vs World y and structured PvP*. ( witch i couldnt understand :S )
