Civilizations Revolution for iPhone review

Civilizations Revolution is out for the iPhone and the game play looks promising. This is a review for Civ. Rev. helping you with your buy/buy not decision.

The game is pretty fun and has several easter eggs.

Communism is a Military technology? Haha, I really had to laugh when I read that .

Which Civilization is best on the iPhone?
I personally like the Americans most because of their late-game bonuses. At the start it's somewhat difficult to establish but later on the reduced rush price, the better factories and the interest rates will make it easy for you to win the game.

The frenchs are also very good because of their cathedral which they have right from the start, making it attractive for more people to live in the city.

Strategies that work out well on the iPhone
There are 4 approaches:

Military: Right away start pumping military units to beat the opponents in early game.

Technology: Research fast and tech to stronger units. Receive bonuses for being the first to research new technologies.

Cultural approach: Build a lot of temples and cathedrals to attract famous persons to live in your city.

Economical: Harvest a lot of gold and build banks quickly. Put only defensive units into your military. You want to make gold fast and dont waste it on units.

I personally do a combination of all approaches but mainly invest into culture and everything non military at the start. Then quickly after I use the newly developed units to conquer cities. At some point when I built everything required I switch the resources to mainly gold production. This is really nice as you can make a lot of gold.

I don't like military at the start that much as you mainly die when attacking cities. I am always waiting for catapults or even till I research Combustion to build Sherman tanks.

My rating 5/5 - buy it. 100% worth the money.

Very nice, thankyou. I read some of the ratings/reviews and they said there is still some sort of end year such as 2100 which is a bummer I wished they would lift things like that and allow for total domination (where one civ has to take over the world completely) but oh well I've played civ3 on the computer and perhaps starting civ4 to see what its like.
Thanks Hend

I dont like the future honestly. Would much rather prefer if you stay in the present.

But it's a great game, definitely.
