JAILBREAKING 2.0_5A347 FOR DUMMIES BY WILFRED

This tutorial shows you how to jailbreak the 2.0_5A347 firmware for iPod Touch on Windows only. All work (unless stated) are compiled by me so please do not copy without permission.

DISCLAIMER: Jailbreak at your own risk. This process is however, 100% reversible.

Tutorial: Jailbreaking 2.0_5A347 Firmware
Requirements:
·WinPwn
·iPod Touch 2.0_5A347 Firmware / MIRROR 2
·Wi-Fi Connection

Steps
1.Insure that you have downloaded the required software for this tutorial.
2.Install and launch WinPwn. (Good idea to start backing up your data on your iPod Touch.)

3.Click Browse .ipsw and locate iPod1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw from your computer.
4.Connect your iPod Touch and click IPSW Builder.
5.Select Install Cydia and click Build .ipsw (Custom Images are optional.)

6.Give it a name and location, must remember! (Process takes approximately 2-5 minutes.)

7.Once that is done, click iPwner and select the custom ipsw you just created.

8.Open iTunes and put your iPod Touch into DFU mode (Please insure that all your data has being stored on your computer.)
i.Hold both the Power and Home button.
ii.When your iPod Touch turns off release the Power button.
iii.Wait 10 seconds (One thousand, two thousand ...)
iv.Release the home button.
Result: Your iPod Touch screen should be blank (no image of USB cable) and iTunes should state that it has detected an iPod in recovery mode.
9.Now Shift + Click on the restore button on iTunes and select the custom ipsw you previously
‘pwned’.

10.Now wait for around 5-10 minutes.
11.Once your iPod is jailbroken follow the steps on iTunes.

12.Now go to your iPod and setup your Wi-Fi connection via Settings.
13.Go back to your springboard (home screen) and tap Cydia.
14.Update everything on Cydia and tap the Search tab.
15.Type in ‘ssh’.

16.Install OpenSSH.

thanks for sharing. I wont do it .. I'm on 2.0.2 and I think I'll stay like this .. less bug than the jailbreaked versions. Still +rep from me and sticky
