It Should Recognize As Much As You Have.

how much your new computer got?, BTW if you just want to test it out use WUBI if you don't like it you can just uninstall it like anything else and you dont have to partition your harddrive I've got some basic knowledge like installing Wine and Compiz-Fusion and stuff so let me know. If you want to play games then no Linux but good for dual booting I like watching movies on it and surfing the web etc.

I keep saying compiz fusion. this is it

Theoretically, it should recognize all of your RAM, but that's not always the case. 32-bit operating systems are supposed to recognize 4 GB max, but usually only recognize a little over 3 GB of RAM (when you have 4 GB installed, which is pretty much the max for 32bit). If you want it to recognize all of your RAM, go with a 64-bit OS (but compatibility issues may be a significant problem; 64-bit Ubuntu was a BITCH). This applies to most OS's, including Windows and Ubuntu.
    I'm better than you.

Yes. It 32bit max supports 3.2 GB of ram (in my case). You will need x64 operating systems. They are however just upcoming and therefore lack good software.
