I don't see what you mean by "therefore an end" Because what you said is how teenagers usually take situations. Im not saying it as a flame when I say that this is incredibly non-christian, because everyone's faith wavers a little bit. And, there really is nothing to be scared of. The Venus cult that started this nasty little rumor believed that the world would end if they stopped killing the opposing cults and stopped giving the gods human sacrifice. But, to the best of everyones knoweldge, the sacrificial killings and cult-wars have ceased, but the world didn't go along with it. So if they were wrong about this aspect, why not others? Im just bringing this into a logical perspective, not trying to turn this innocent thread about books into a big flame thread of the non pre-christ pagan cults.

Rep Power: 1 | | | "the end of the world"...interesting subject.
This can mean 2 things:
Total anihilation of all humanity which may happen one day,but it is less likely
Or The end of everything that exists(univers,planets,etc)...That would mean that nothing would exist anymore...I think that is imposibile
Lets change the subject a little...After all it is imposible to predict future...I do not say that there aren't people that can do that, but it is very less likely they get this "visions" from our dimension...there could be an infinite number of dimensions, nobody knows how many,so if someone predicts that in 2006 will be "the end of the world" and it doesn't happen in our dimension,it doesn't have to mean that man is crazy,it could happen, but just not in our world |

Rep Power: 1 | | | Why are we spending time reading end of the world books? I mean isn't there more important things to read, do and learn? Then to read theories and conspiracies wrapped up into a masterful blanket of spoon fed literature of the masses. Mind you i'll probably read the book, because I enjoy this genre but it's funny that I waste my time reading a book of how the worlds going to end instead of go out and travel to see the world before it ends. ~Laughs.~ | | D3scene |
