[Tut] How to make a maplestory private server

Well i am not an expert at this but i will try my best to help you out as much as i can.

First off you will need

The Java Runtime Environment (Version 6)
Java SE Downloads
Choose Java SE 6 Update 10 Beta.
Choose the JDK, not the JRE.

My odinms source repack
waiting for it to upload will post when its done

WAMPSERVER
SourceForge.net: Downloading ...

and either Navicat or Heidi sql

Navicat:http://www.navicat.com/download/navicat8_mysql_en.exe
Heidi sql:SourceForge.net: Downloading ...

Now Install WAMPSERVER and run it

At the btootm corner of your screen you should see a little guage

Left click it and hit start all services

Now install either navicat or Heidi sql and open the Odinms.sql file in the MS SERVER file


if you are using Heidi sql click on the Query tab and then find the run button that looks like a little triangle.

one that is finished close and reopen Heidi or navicat

you should see Odinms now.

double click it and go to accounts'

Clcik the + button and make your account

once done making account press the Checkmark

Now. go into the MS SERVER folder and take
local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar and copy them

Now go to run and type in

C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\security
C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext
C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\jre\lib
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\jre\lib\ext
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_10\jre\lib\security

in the one that have local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar replace them with the ones you copied from the MS SERVER folder

Now that thats done

go to your MS SERVER folder and open up
Channel.properties
logon.properties
and
world.properties

in logon.prop

change
net.sf.odinms.world.host=5.201.86.132
to
net.sf.odinms.world.host=127.0.0.1

in Channel.prop

change
net.sf.odinms.world.host=5.201.86.132
to
net.sf.odinms.world.host=127.0.0.1

and in world.prop

change
net.sf.odinms.channel.net.interface=5.201.86.132
to
net.sf.odinms.channel.net.interface=127.0.0.1

Now click on

Toppbackk's Server Starter

Click enter when the dos window opens

Now 3 dos windows should open

Make sure there are no errors at the top

Now all you have to do is make a .bat file that sais

"Start Localms.exe 127.0.0.1 8484"

put it in your maplestory folder and run it

Now make your character and get in game.

once your character is made open up yor Heidi or Navicat and click on the characters tab

Find your character and in the gm slot instead of "0" type "1"
click the Checkmark and your done

MAKE SURE NOT TO BE LOGGED INTO THE ACCOUNT WHILE CHANGING TO GM

what kind of repack do you have is it v.55 or v.54

where's the server repack? =\

I found a repack, so its ok.
but in the opening odinms.sql and running it(in the query tab) it gives me this error :
"SQL Error : No database Selected"
what to do? oO
