Pet Guide - All You Need To Know

A pet is a cute little doll that has been brought to life and will follow you as you embark on your journey in MapleStory! They accompany you, entertain you, make you laugh (and make you angry), and act as a trusty and useful aide when properly equipped! They are your Maple best friends!

How to get a pet?
To get your very own maple pet, you need to buy them from the Cash Shop. Once you have selected your trusty companion, put it in your item inventory and double click on it under the Pet Tab. This will activate the "magic" required to bring your pet to life!

Now you have your very own pet! When you have your own pet, be a responsible owner and remember to feed and train your pet regularly. Doing so will increase your pet's closeness with you, and your pet will level up upon reaching a certain closeness! The maximum level your pet can go is 30. Here are what you can do to pet-sit your pet!

Feeding your pets with food from Henesys, Orbis or Ludibruim. Feeding your pet will increase its closeness with you. Pets can be fed with pet food which can be bought at Henesys, Orbis or Ludi. Pet food add 30 fullness to your pet, and cost only 30 mesos each at Henesys and Orbis and 25 mesos each at Ludi. If you can spare some real cash, the newly added pet foods to the cash shop will increase your pet's stats by 100% fullness and +100 closeness!

Your pet's stats can be seen by clicking on your character to open up the Character Info box. Never let your pet's fullness go below 50 because it will starve below this point. Also never overfeed it if its fullness is 100 because the closeness may decrease. If you are planning to open a store or afk for a long time, please pick your pet up (double click on the pet icon in the Item Inventory under the 'Cash' tab).

How to train the pet
Training your pets will also increase its closeness with you. Basically, you can train it in three ways:

• Feeding it
• Giving it commands to follow up.

Check out the command guide below for each pet's respective commands. If your pets follow your commands, the closeness will increase. NOTE that different command levels will give different different amount of closeness. E.g. lvl 0-10 commands give +1 closeness, lvl 10-20 commands give +2 and lvl 20-30 commands give +3. Spam the commands for your pet's corresponding level to get more closeness. Giving your pet a name and using its name in the command will also increase the chance of increasing the closeness. Also note that there is a certain time frame for certain pets to successfully follow a command, for instance, every 10-20 seconds. So instead of spamming the commands every second (and keep getting negative responses from your pet), try to space out your commands.

Please dont spam your buddy list with comment's, people hate it, imagine you have a buddy 24/7 spamming comments in your textbox, how would you feel?

• Doing the Pet's jumping quest at Henesys and Ludibrium.
Henesys's Pet Walking Park Or At Ludibrium's Pet Walkway

Talk to the NPC in the park before embarking on the jumping quest. Each time you successfully complete the quest and talk to the other NPC at the end of it, your pet's closeness will increase! The jumping quest requires a lot of patience and time, so be patient and have fun during the process!

When i do those jumping quest i feel like a pet, we are the one's who are jumping not the pets, they just follow us. Society For The Abused Maplers T.T

How to command it
Simply type the command in the chatbox. E.g. "sit" and, if your pet has a name, "Snowie poop".

Now The Fun Part

How to let it talk what I want it to say?

Type '/pet xxx', for example, if you type '/pet I love $', your pet will say 'I love $'! Remember, your pet starts talking at level 10, but it can only talk what you want it to at level 15.

The Command Guidebook
You can also buy the command book for your specific pet from the same NPCs that sells your pet food at 1k each (only the book for rudolph costs 500 mesos). The command book consists of a list of commands you can use on your pet. However, do note that the book is also sometimes inconsistent with the reaction of the pet.

The 'lifespan' of your pet is only about 90 days. When the magic runs out, the pet will turn back into a doll. To bring your pet back to life, you need to visit Mar the Fairy at Ellinia or Wisp at Ludibrium. The level of all revived pets will remain the same as the last level they were at before they turned back into a doll.

Revival via Marr the Fairy @ Ellinia
Find Marr the Fairy at Marr's Forest. Marr's forest is a hidden area in Ellinia town. Go to the purple glowing flower at the bottom right of the town to enter Marr's Forest. She is the only NPC in this map. Talk to her and she will ask you to bring back the Water of life and the Life scroll in order to revive the pet. The Water of Life can be brought at the Cash Shop for 4,500 Cash, while the Life scroll is obtainable by correctly answering a few questions from Bartos the instructor at Pet's Walking Road in Henesys.

To find Bartos, go to Henesys park where Cloy is and enter from the "Pet Park" sign to reach Pet's Walking Road. Bartos is at the extreme left. The questions are mostly random, but can be re-attempted if you answered them wrongly. After obtaining both items, bring back to Mar the Fairy who will then revive your pet.

Revival via Wisp @ Ludibrium
Speak to Wisp at the right portal of Eos Tower Entrance. She will ask you to bring back the Water of life and the Life scroll in order to revive the pet. The Water of Life can be brought at the Cash Shop for 4,500 Acash, while the Life scroll is obtainable from the "Document Roll" in Chloe's House in Ludibrium Village (the house in the middle of the street).

After obtaining both items, bring back to Wisp who will then revive your pet.

2 Pet Equip items i would like to recommend to you is the item pouch and mesos magnet, they are very useful when it come to training, just run your pet over the item's and it will be looted automatically

Pet scrolls are rather useful for pets masters! You can scroll with the option for additional jump or speed on your pet equips, and any effects from the scroll will directly affect you! For example, if you scrolled +5 Speed on your pet's equip, your speed will increase +5.

There are currently two kinds of 100%, 60% and 10% pet scrolls

- Scroll for Pet Equip. for Jump
- Scroll for Pet Equip. for Speed

To use the Pet Scrolls, you need to purchase a pet equip (see above) from the cash shop. Equip your pet with it and then use the scroll on the equip. Each pet equip has 5 slots for upgrading and the the addon abilities from any successful scrolling is passed on to the owner. Please note that any scrolled abilities from the pet equip will expire along with the equip upon the expiry date.
