Starting Your Sin

If this is your first time playing MapleStory, log in and select make new character. Make your char look any way you want to, get a name and see if it's availible, then the die comes in. For a sin you will want STR 4, INT 4, DEX x, LUK x. If you can't roll a 4 for both STR and INT a 5 is fine. Once you start the game and get the hang of the controls, start training on snails. Once you level up, you get 5 Abilitly Points. Every level put all your points into DEX until it is at 25. After that put all points into LUK. Stay on Maple Island till lvl 10, then go to Victoria. Once you are there, you can talk to the ticket booth guy and get a ride to Kerning City. Go into the Fusion Jazz Bar and talk to Dark Lord. If you did everything right, you will become a rogue. Dark Lord will give you one skill point.

1-10: Snails (Snail Hunting Ground I, II, and III)
10-17: Slimes (Dungeon, Southwest Forest I (Slime Tree))
18-23: Pigs (Pig Beach)
23-30: Kerning Pq (Kerning City By the Sewers)


Equipment Lvl 1-30

1-9: Wear what you start with, and buy a razor if you want.
10-14: If you are low on cash, I wouldn't recommend buying the lvl 10 gear. But you can if you want.
15-19: Same as 10-14 gear.
20-24: Buy a Pao top if you can afford.
25-29: Get a brown bamboo hat from pq or buy and wear until 30 or 35.


2nd Job Advancement

Gratz for getting to level 30! To get the 2nd job, talk to Dark Lord first. He should give you a letter to give to your instructor. Go right of Kerning 2 maps, and climb up. The instructor will be there. Talk to him and he will take you to a map where you need to kill blue mushrooms and cold eyes to get 30 marbles. (The cold eyes arent as strong as the real ones are.) Once you have 30 marbles, talk to the instructor, and he will give you the Medal Of Honor. Give this to Dark Lord and choose Assassin. Your hp and mp get higher and now you have 2nd job skills!

35-50: Ludibrium PQ
Lvl 35-40 you may not get the best parties, but i still went there.
Lvl 40+ you should stay at pq even when it gets REALLY BORING. It's still best training.

51-60: Drakes, Kitties
Drakes are at Drakes Meal Table and Drake Hunting Ground
Kitties in Garden of Red, Yellow, or Green I. (Green drops kumbi.)

61-70: Hectors, Grupins, Zombies, Red Drakes
Hectors @ Cold Field I.
Grupins are at Garden of Green II. (Yellow and Red are fine too.)
Zombies in the Forest of Dead Trees.
Red Drakes are at Dangerous Valley II. (Drop Steely )


Equips Lvl 30-70

30: Keep your bamboo hat, and buy a sauna or the lvl 30 gear at the shop.
35: Buy your 35 top, bottom, and you can stick with your bamboo.
40: Buy a Shadow set and a good pilfer. Blue Moons are easy to find now and you can buy for around 50k.
50: Buy a China Set (most ppl buy red).
60: Get an oaker scorpio top and bottom and buy a silver or dark identity. Those are pricey but its good.
70: Buy a Stud top and Stud Pants. Stay with your identity or buy a nightfox if you want.
*For shoes and gloves, you don't have to buy if you can't afford.


Claws + Stars + Gloves

Claws
10: Buy a Garnier
15: If you don't want to waste money stay with garnier or buy a Steel Titans
20: Same as 15 if you want buy Bronze Igor.
25: If you have some cash buy a +7 Meba scrolled with 100%s. If not, buy a normal meba.
30: Stick with meba.
35: If you didn't buy a +7 meba you can buy a guardian. If you do have a good meba stay with it.
40: Buy an Avarice that's scrolled with 100%s.
50: If you've got a lot of cash scroll your own slain with 60%s. If not, buy one or scroll it with 100%s.
60: Now you should have some cash to spend so buy a Gigantic that's nicely scrolled.
70: Get a Scarab and scroll it (money shouldn't be a big problem now.)

Stars
This will make a difference if you are a funded or unfunded sin.
I say you first: Buy the best claw you can.
Second: Buy the best ATK glove you can.
Third: Buy the best stars.
That's what I follow, but heres some star prices.
Subi: ATK 15 (500 meso)
Wolbi: ATK 17 (20k)
Snowballs: ATK 17 (120k)
Mokbi: ATK 19 (80k)
Tops: ATK 19 (120k)
Kumbi: ATK 21 (275k)
Icicles: ATK 21 (600k)
Tobi: ATK 23 (2 mil)
Steelys: ATK 25 9mil)
Ilbi: ATK 27 (20-30mil)
*All these prices are Windian (Sry other ppl T.T )

Gloves
If you have a lot of cash scroll a work glove yourself. You could also just buy one. Remember:
First: Buy the best claw you can.
Second: Buy the best atk glove you can.
Third: Buy the best stars.

not rolling a 4 for both STR and INT is not fine . Every luk that u have matters.it could add up to 100 dmg per ap u pump when ur level is high.If u are a funded sin, i suggest u dont buy expensive stars instead pump more luk and buy scrolled equipts that adds dex.buy star only if u have alot of money ( which is impossible u need to buy scrolled items which could cost over 1000m) or u got them from monster.And for claw mastery u only need level 19 as the last level only adds one accuracy and it is a waste of skill point because sin never misses.
