    im not sure
    if you are behind a router you should have a local ip

    if you installed the loopback adapter try connection with your global ip as all of them
    it might work, i have all mine at my global ip exept for the file C:/MuServer/GameServer-PT1/gameserver.ini i have my local ip there

    but whats the difference?..arent they both the same IP? o_O? and yes im on a Router because i forward the ports from the System manually from my computer on the setting on my local area connection..but dont Global IP and Local IP share the Same IP Address?...and do i have to forward ports on the Loopback connection settings? and on milamber's guide it says if i go to these sites i can find both the Local IP and Global Ip

    http://whatismyip.org = 69.124.xxx.xxx

    Start>Run>command promt> Ipconfig = 69.124.xxx.xxx (Same IP as the Global one)

    i tried IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup its still the same IP

    and i havent got any replies to these yet if i have to configure them or not..

    D:\MuServer\Data\IpList.dat
    D:\MuServer\Data\lang\Chs\Commonloc.cfg
    D:\MuServer\Data\lang\Kor\Commonloc.cfg
    D:\MuServer\Data\lang\Vtm\Commonloc.cfg
    D:\MuServer\StartUp.ini (all these with my IPs?)

    usually when you are on a router the internet connection goes into the router and the router sends off local ips to any devices connected to it so it can identify which computer you are using. if you dont have a local ip I think it would work using your global for everything. this includes the launcher and the main.exe.
    and if you have that microsoft loopback adapter set up right then it should let you connect

    ok the way you said "Set up right" you basically mean forward ports on it do you?? o_O? and how would i tell if im local ip or global IP when i have only 1 IP address that is the EXACT Same..??? o_O...it still shows that 1 same IP Address all the time...

    i tried this Find My IP Address - Lookup (still the same)

    i tried Start>Run>command promt>cmd> ipconfig (still the same IP?? o_O?

    i tried IP Chicken - Whats my IP address? ip address lookup (still the same IP)

    what i was saying was make sure you set up everything the guide says.
    and since that website showed the same ip as ipconfig did it means that most likely that is your global ip.

    i dont think i can help you then just wait for Milamber to reply today or tomorrow.
    he helped me get mine started.
    also if you didnt try this yet, try restarting ur computer, that works sometimes.

    Thanks i will do that i already finished using the BMD editor and already placed all IPs again in the Muserver files...but now i still get disconnected when i click on the server ..so the log in and password menu doesnt show up...so far i did all this..please correct any mistakes that i did or forgotten anything

    MuServer>GameServerPT-1>Gameserver text :

    DB_SERVER = MY IP Already Entered ; Sql Server Host (Local)<< (Since linkin.park.4 said my IP from the site and Ipconfig is the same he said its most likely this is my global IP so i will enter my Global IP if thats alright?
    DB_Name = MuOnline ; DaTaBaSe Name (Default : MuOnline)
    DB_user = sa ; DaTaBaSe User (Default : sa)
    DB_Password = PASSWORD already entered ; DaTaBaSe Password (Your DaTaBaSe Password)
    DB_EnableTrusted = 1 ; Don't Know (Default : 1)

    GameServerPT-1>Data>ServerInfo

    [GameServerInfo]
    ServerName = Already Entered Server Name
    ServerCode = 0
    NonPK = 0
    ConnectMemberLoad = 0
    PkLimitFree = 0

    MuServer>RankingServer>svconfig

    [odbc_setting]
    dbname=Ranking
    odbc_dsn=Ranking
    odbc_uid=sa
    odbc_pass=ALREADY ENTERED
    odbc_con_count=40

    (ALREADY Did
    MuServer>EventServer>DATA>svconfig)

    MuServer>ExDB>ExDB text

    // ~This is exdb.ini Edited and Translated by Milamber~
    // ID, Password, Version, MaxFriend, MaxMail
    "sa" "ALREADY ENTERED" 1 50 50
    // Version : The ExDB.ini Quite Old Wolf Rolls Pity to Draining Welds
    // MaxFriend : Maximum Friends You Can Have
    // MaxMail : Maximum Mail You Can Receive

    now this is what 1 part of the guide tells me to do this:
    We are now almost done but not yet.Open your internet browser and type in the url bar(where you normally type website addresses) http://whatismyip.org
    This is your Global Wan IP.It changes sometimes and you cannot know when it will.If you restart/reboot router it will definitely change.Right your Global IP down. (Since my Ipconfig and the IP address from the site is the same...is this ok? am i doing it right? should i put it on the MapServerInfo.txt?

    MuServer>Data>MapServerInfo text
    19 0 -1 S86.136.187.124 55901 <<<<placed all 6 of them with my Global Ip/IP address from Ipconfig (since they the same)
    0 0 1 S86.136.187.124 55903
    1 0 1 S86.136.187.124 55904
    2 0 1 S86.136.187.124 55905
    3 0 1 S86.136.187.124 55906

    and this is the one part of the guide that gets me thinking and frustrated:
    "Now for the last step.There are 2 IPs,remember?Your Local IP and your Global Wan IP.Your local IP is the IP Address of your machine(computer).If you want to be able to connect on your own,so just you can connect from your home system and no one else,in order to test server" <<(ok since my global WAN ip is the same as my Local IP...but which one is which? like..is my IP a Global Ip? or a Local IP? i cant tell since they the same on my IP)

    MuServer>ConnectServer>CsConfig
    [SERVER0]
    LIST3=3,(ALREADY PUT MY IP),55901

    now here is another of my frustrating part:
    Put in your Local IP for you to connect.If you want to globally open your server to the world so other people can connect put in your Global Wan IP (replacing 10.0.0.1).
    Of course,for the beginning only you will have to connect in order to test and configure your server,so put in your Local IP(replacing 10.0.0.1). <<< (but i cant tell whether my IP is Local..or Global IP since they the same so i just put the IP on it)

    Now the Client set up:

    I already opened Main Editor and opened the Faronnia Mu client and opened the Main.Exe and changed it to my (Local/Global) Ip on it..(since they the same for me)

    Now the Launcher:

    i opened the Skyteam Launcher Builder and did exactly what the guide states

    Enable Options
    Show Server Status
    Server Name: I put it in.(its the same one from the ServerInfo.Dat right?)
    IP/HOSTNAME: I put my IP
    Port: 44405

    so i finished the set up and launched the MuStartup. and it started on IP 127.0.0.1. Then it finished from "Trying to save Memory" then it said "All Done"

    then i go to the client and drag my Launcher inside the folder and launched the client..and when i launched it..i still get Disconnected? i did everything the guide states right? i clicked on the server and i still get disconnected? i forwared all ports from the "Windows Firewall" then to the Local Area Connection then to my Services and Forwared all ports...am i doing anything wrong? please help

    It all depends on you have a router or not, if you dont. Change all 127.0.0.1 ip's to your global ip (Find My IP Address - Lookup) . And dont forget to setup the OBDC passwords, i aint sure if it's needed in this package since i've never used it. Good luck.

    D:\MuServer\ConnectServer\CsConfig.ini
    D:\MuServer\Data\IpList.dat
    D:\MuServer\Data\lang\Chs\Commonloc.cfg
    D:\MuServer\Data\lang\Kor\Commonloc.cfg
    D:\MuServer\Data\lang\Vtm\Commonloc.cfg
    D:\MuServer\StartUp.ini (all these with my IPs?)

    because i saw a Exact same of your guide on a website except it says to edit these as well?..and just to make sure...what if you only have 1 IP address of either of Global IP or LOCAL IP?...cuz when i went to the site of whatismyip.com it showed only 1 of my IP address.and so my Global IP and Local IP is the Same Address..and thats the only one is that ok? and before you said that Global IP and Local IP are complete 2 different things...so i wanted to make sure...and also to make sure of this one 2 can i run server and play as client at the same time as well? i heard rumours that you cant do 2 things at once?...
    CsConfig is the only one you edit with your IP.
    By the way,the site where you saw this guide was Ragezone.com right?Yes,I am called Crystal-X over there ^^ Its me,the same person :cool:

    local_host = YOUR LOCAL IP ^^ not Global IP.Try that,and it will be fixed.
    I setup all IPs for router,my guide says where you have to change IPs.Do not change where it says 127.0.0.1

    But my Local IP is the same as my Global from my point of view...Even if i put it there how can i be sure it wont crash? because i went to "Start>Run> command promt> Ipconfig and it showed my IP 69.124.xxx.xxx
    then i went to Find My IP Address - Lookup and it still showed the same IP 69.124.xxx.xxx?...is this suppose to happen?..do i need microsoft loopback for another IP address or somethin? o_O? please help

    oh and the website i saw your guide Milamber was this site : MU Online Tutorial Installation Server 1.2Q (Windows)
    and i saw a tutorial video on how to run 1.2Q from Ragezone on a speed run:[Guide] [Video]: Setup a Server [ start --> finish ] in 18 minutes! - MMORPG Development Forums - RaGEZONE (sponsored by TFN.gr)
