The Nintendo Wii has caused a lot of commotion in the console gaming world, back in 07'. The Wii currently has lots of developers making tons of new games each day, and working towards lots of them. Since the release, I have had the Wii, and have purchased many games for this console in particular. If you own a Wii and are looking for games, and whether or not they are worth getting, then you could check this post. Or, you could go out and waste your $30 on a crappy game instead of spending that ginormous sum of cash on a game more valuable and more fun to play.
SSX: Blur (3/10)
This game, is the worst SSX game ever released. The other SSX Games such as tricky, 3, etc. were fun to play with realistic graphics and tricks, and also the awesome ubermeter, along with a sick song list. This game however, has horrible controls, which are far different from anything. They are hard to use, and hard to maneuver through places, and hard to learn when you first purchase the game. The graphics... They make me want to boil some cats. This game is very poorly animated. They should have gone the extra mile to create game graphics that are worth playing, that at least come close to the Wii's potential. To be completely honest, there is nothing good about this game.
Madden 07' (8/10)
Madden 07' is a very good game in my opinion. The controls are similar to what you would expect, easy to learn, and pretty easy to guess! The game has many features, like tournaments, quick play, career, quest for the hall of fame, etc. And each game is good in a very unique way. In the career, you do not pick which team you want to be on. You actually try out, and then attend drafts to see if you get picked, and depending on your skills, you will be taken by a good team, or a bad team. You also get to pick your own manager. The person who schedules things for you, like practices, etc. Overall, the only bad thing about this game is the lack of graphics. Again, they are not at all living up to what the Wii is capable of.
Super Mario Galaxy (10/10)
The best Wii game currently available. The graphics are as good as it can possible get for an animated game, and the storyline is so long it will keep you playing for hours on end. This game is amazing, you can jump from planet to planet, turn into various forms of mario, (Fire mario, ice mario, bee mario, etc) and do all sorts of things. The goal is to collect all the stars, power up your ship, save the hawt princess from the ass who has kidnapped her, and then live home with her for ever and ever. What mpore could you want? Oh yea, to kill some stupid animals on your way there. The controls are easy enough to learn and use, and once you buy the game, you will be playing in no time!
Guitar Hero 3 (9/10)
The guitar hero franchise is by far one of the most popular franchise in terms of gaming, and the amount of people who like the game and would continue to make more. The controls are alright, they are the same as the others, with the red, green, blue, orange buttons, the fret button is the same, and not much has changed. The song variety is still very wide and you can get almost any genre in the music. From Rage against the machine, to Pearl Jam, to AFI, you can hear a lot of different tunes in this game. I recommend this game to you! Note: If you play guitar hero for too long, you get high. True story.
Super Smash Bros: Brawl (9/10)
A very good sequel to the awesome game, Super Smash Bros: Melee, and with all of your favorite characters, and more. The game is just about as good as it gets, with good graphics, easy to use and learn controls, and even better, lots of modes to play in! I haven't spent much time playing this game yet, but my favorite thing ever is they included Solid Snake in this one!!! I hope some of you know who that is
Call of Duty: 3 (6/10)
This game is not one of the better
CoD games. The Wii controlls make it hard to aim your gun and even harder to shoot, because you have to have the mouse twisted a certain way in order to get it right. The graphics are really not a huge improvement from
CoD 2, which is not making a very big leap in that of better games. The story line is alright, but I didn't ever really understand what was going on, because I seemed to switch characters every cut scene.
Mario Cart Wii (9.5/10)
A ridiculously good game. I should have baught it sooner, especially once all my friends told me I should have. Its a huge leap from the pervious Mario Cart games, in that of graphics, interface, challenge, variety, etc. The graphics you can tell are improved by just one look, but my favorite one improvement has to be how the screen distorts the faster you go. There is a large variety of new cars and items, and races and tracks. Its a great game I would reccomend to all.
I will review more games later, but first I have to play some of them more than I already do. If you would like me to get a game to review for you, just post it here or PM it to me
Thanks,
