How to make a World of Warcraft private server!

So, you want to make a WoW private server huh?

well, it's very easy!

First of all, We will need World of Warcraft, and the: Burning crusade

When you have them Both, When you start up WoW for the first time you need to update it.
To do that, just write anything as username, and anything as password, like:

Username: Blah
Password: Blah

then it says it updates
Then a screen come up, let it update to: 2.0.3 to 2.0.4, then stop at 2.0.3, this may be looking confusing, but it's not just stop at 2.0.3 :cheesy:

Then, when you have the 2.0.3 update, you can continue with your server thats come here:

First of all, we need a REPACK, the best Repack you can get on internet (that i think) is the: Arcemu repack. you can get it from this link: http://www.mediafire.com/?pce00wzfgmt
and one more thing, you will need: Hamachi, you can get Hamachi from on of this, just choose your operative system

Download Hamachi Linux
Download Hamachi Windows 2000
Download Hamachi Windows 2003
Download Hamachi Windows Vista
Download Hamachi Windows XP
Download Hamachi Mac OS X

When you have installed hamachi, then start it up, then in the right down corner, it will be an icon thats look like 3 balls connected to eathother (cant spell it)
click on that, then: create new network, the name of your network and the password, the password should be: 123, then click ok, then right click on the network and choose: options, or something like that, then somewhere on the list that comes upo it will says like: do you need password to enter the network, take NO, and then your done with hamachi, but it needs to be up all time you have the server up :biggrin:now for the server:

First, unpack the arcemu repack in any folder, i recommand that you make a new folder and name it to: Private server.
then, unpack the repack in it, then when its done, open up the private server folder, then there is a file called: AD.EXE, Take the AD.EXE to your world of warcraft folder, and dubbelclick on it, it will work for a long time, may take up to 2 hours depend on your computer, but on good computers it may take half an hour

when it's done, open your World of Warcraft folder again, then there be a map called: Maps
the AD.EXE will craeate a folder caled maps, take the Maps folder and the AD.EXE back to your private server folder:biggrin:

now you just have some steps left to play on your WoW private server :cool:

open up your private server folder, then go: configs, then open up: arcemu-logonserver with notepad.

scroll down till that it says:
<Listen Host = "0.0.0.0"
ISHost = "0.0.0.0"
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093">

there it says: 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1 or something, write your hamachi IP there instead, you can get your hamachi IP if you openup hamachi and it will says with BIG numbers like: 5.71.157.244 (thats inine hamachi IP, you are going to use yours!)

then it will look like:
<Listen Host = "5.71.157.244"
ISHost = "5.71.157.244"
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093">


and then thats part is done, then scroll down to there it says:

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "youtube"
AllowedIPs = "127.0.0.1/32"
AllowedModIPs = "127.0.0.1/32">


Leabe the: <logonServer Remotepassword = "youtube" like it is.
just change there it says: 127.0.0.1/32 to your hamachi IP, but dont take away the: /32
do that on allowed IPs and AllowedModIPs.

then it will look like:

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "youtube"
AllowedIPs = "5.71.157.244/32"
AllowedModIPs = "5.71.157.244/32">

then thats part done to :biggrin:

close the: arcemulogonserver and save it.
then, open up: arcemu-realms.

scroll down to there it says:

<LogonServer Address = "127.0.0.1"
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">

write your hamachi IP there it says 127.0.0.1

then it will look like:

<LogonServer Address = "5.71.157.244"
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">


then, scroll down to there it says:

<Realm1 Name = "Darnasuss"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PvP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

replace the: 127.0.0.1:8129
to: "yourhamachiIP:8129

then it will look like:

<Realm1 Name = "Darnasuss"
Address = "5.71.157.244:8129"
Icon = "PvP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

now exit and save.
then open up: arcemu-optional.

scroll down to it says:

<Optional StartingLevel = "1"
LevelCap = "70"
GenLevelCap = "70"
AllowTBC = "1"
AntiMasterLootNinja = "0">

there you can make the starting lvl to what you want, the levelcap, is the level a player can go to, 255 is the max. 70 is normal

then, scroll down to it says:

<Interfaction InterfactionChat="0"
InterfactionGroup="0"
InterfactionGuild="0"
InterfactionTrade="0"
InterfactionFriends="0"
InterfactionMisc="0"
CrossOverCharacters="0">

turn the: InterfactionChat="0" and the CrossOverCharacters="0">
to InterfactionChat="1" and the CrossOverCharacters="1">there it is a 0, replace it with a 1.


then scroll down to:'

<Extra Instant70="1" PvPToken="0" PvPTokenID="13905" PvPKillAnnounce="0" Portals="0" L70etc="0" WeddingNPC="0">


there it says <Extra Instant70="1" tuen the 1 to a 0, so it looks like: <Extra Instant70="0"

then exit and save, now you just got a few steps left!!!

open: arcemu-world.

scroll down to:
<Listen Host = "127.0.0.1"
WorldServerPort = "8129">

replace the 127.0.0.1 to your hamachi IP

then its look like:
<Listen Host = "5.71.157.244"
WorldServerPort = "8129">

then scroll down to:

<Server PlayerLiWmit = "100"
Motd = "Welcome to World of Warcraft"

there you can choose a lot of stuff, that options i have there is the optonals the most people have, it like them over here :biggrin:

then, scroll down to:

it will says anything like "I almost read all of my config files" or something, delete it so it looks like:

then scroll down to:

there you can choose a lot of stuff, just change what you want there :cheesy:

then as far down you can come when you scoll, it will says:

#<die2 msg="I almost read my all my config files">

do like the other one and delete it so itlooks like:

#<die2 msg="">

and then yore done, exit and save

then, in your private server folder, its a file called: Start background.
start it, and minimize it!

then open: account creator.

make an account there, if you want to be a GM, type: AZ when your asked for it.

when you have crated it, you have to change your realmlist!

open your world of warcraft folder and there it is a file called: realmlist.WTF, open it with notepad.
delete all in it and replace it with:

set realmlist ÝOUR HAMACI IP!

so it looks like: set realmlist 5.71.157.244

then, close and save.

thn go back to your private server folder, and open start background again if you dant have it open, let it be open, then start: arcemu logonserver, and minimize it, then start: arcemu world! and let it load. all in that place, first: start backgraound, then: arcemu-logonserver, and then: arcemu-world. then open up your World of warcraft, log in with the account you created and start playing!!! :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

But theres one question left. Why I have to use Hamachi ? Can't I just write the IP" 127.0.0.1" instead of the Hamachi Crap !? I mean, IMAO it's the same, isn't it ?

well, you can only use: 127.0.0.1, but then your friends cant join, to make it public, you need to use hamachi
