I Posted this on the official
WoW forums some time a go....
Just dinged 80? Grats! Full green? Check! Want ilvl 213+ epics? Aye!
Heres what to do:
1) Farm about 38k honour. Do the PvP daily, Wintergrasp quests, and use the marks and the shards for honour tokens. If you're still not there yet, Do 1 one of each bg and turn in the other PvP quest for more bonus honour.
2) Go to the PvP item vendor (OG for Horde and SW for Alliance). Buy ONE epic item. Equip it. Then sell it back for a full refund. Rinse and repeat this, until you have done this with an item for every slot (the same ring and trinket can be used, just move it from one slot to another). Now Here comes the hard bid. To complete your [Epic] achievment, you will need to get and epic weapon. Apparantely, the Titansteel Destroyer & co only have an ilevel of 200. Someone mentioned the Brewfest weapon - currently at 1000g, is above ilvl213. ToC5 man heroic drops 213+, and i think Lokens axe is 213+ as well. . Now you can be accepted into groups which ask for the [Epic] achievment.
3) Use that 38k honour to actually buy and keep an item. This will be your first epic! Be sure to buy the item which gives the greatest upgrade to your stats.
4) Sit on one of the spikes in OG(or climb on that founatain in SW if you're ally), and keep and eye on Trade. /w everyone who asks for a role you can fulfill. Be sure to pick up the dailies (there're only two you really want to do; the heroic dungeon ones which can be found in dalaran, in front of then dungeon. ToC normal (and later heroic ToC) is the instance you want to be visiting the most. Don't forget, you can always make your own groups as well.
5) Roll Need for every blue/purple item in heroics that has at least 2 stats for your class. This will surely be an upgrade from you're greens, and gives you a better image (epic is always better than lvl 74 green. always.) Make sure to keep silent, and be polite. Dont give the players the impression that you're a noob. If you have low dps, say you're tired or lagging. If you tank, and something goes wrong, blame the healer. If you heal, blame the tank.
6) Using the badges you collect, buy more Epics (be sure to check all 3 vendors for the cheapest one). Using the shards you collect, and wintergrasp marks, buy honour tokens, and get more pvp epics.
This strategy guarantees you full epics in +- 3-4 days /played. When you're there, try joining a raiding guild, or a guild with many 80's. This will make finding a group easier, and you will have access to even more epics!
