Thanks, I used to do this for swimming freshman year... The basic concept I got from it was: The more you hold your breath, the longer you can do it in the long run.
Also when your swimming, if you think of something else, it always helps.

yea~ its like practise makes perfect
Well.. I've been swimming for years and i can last longer since i started because my lungs had expanded ^^
thanks for the tip Diesel and Keeper.
when i was young and played soccer and had really bad asthma i used to put duct tape over my mouth and run long distances, this would force my body to better use the small oxygen that it was getting from my nose, since normally when you run you use your mouth which can take in and exhale more oxygen.
this would probably take longer than your method but over time, i went for 78% capacity to 105% (NOTE last measurement was a long time ago)
When in doubt, empty the magazine, They dont pay you to bring home bullets
I'm a diver myself, and that method works, it highs up your lung volume.
35yeros, i currently play soccer in the midfield position so i have to do a lot of running. I just might have to try that !
You can train urself by holding ur breathe if your bored. I can hold my breathe up to 80seconds.
Try relax urself and not thinking of anything.
