How To Make Nun Chucks

How To Make Nun Chucks

What You Will Need

  • Chain or thin, strong, rope.
  • 2 Sticks(12 to 14 inches long)
  • Metal cutters strong enough to cut.
  • Hammer(only if your using a chain.)
  • Drill.
  • I-hooks(only for rope.)
  • Sand paper.
Steps
  1. Find 2 sticks not too long or too fat.
  2. Buy a small chain or cut apart a piece of an old chain about 9cm's long.
  3. Drill a small hole in one side of each stick.
  4. Screw in screws in the holes
  5. Alternatively, screw an I-bolt into the hole and clamp the chain to the I-bolt.
Tips

  • Dress them up a bit, add some designs on your nunchaku.
  • If your using chain, the chain should be thick.
  • If your using nylon rope, you should burn the ends of the rope a little to stop them from coming apart.
  • Use a light weight metal like aluminum or a light dowel make of oak. This will make them move faster, and it will be easier to control.
  • Use square knots when tying the nylon string on.
  • If you use an i-hook, make sure you thread it all the way in, and make sure the threaded ends are at least an inch long. if its not, and you start to swing the nunchucks faster, the i-hooks could come out.
  • You can make elegant looking ridges in them if you have a file.
