    Running Faster

    This may seem contridictory at first, but it does work.

    If you want to start running distances faster just get some weights, start low like around 3-4 lbs per weight. Scuba weights work really good. First thing you need to do is run a certain distance, lets say 100yds. Record your time. then strap the weights to your legs. i started out with 3 3lb weights on each leg.
    Start practicing running that 100yds with the weights attached to your legs. it will take some time but eventually you should be able to run the 100yds in about the same amount of time, because what happens is your legs become accustomed to the extra weight and your mussels will become stronger.
    Just keep increasing your weight, but don't go above like 30 extra lbs on each leg or you might hurt yourself

    my times went from about 30 seconds to just under 21 seconds. But it took me an entire summer of doing this style training.

    ~~~~~~~~~~I do not take responsibility if anyone gets hurt trying this, it worked for me but that doesn't mean it will work for you~~~~~~~~~~
    if you think it was helpful
    Smile your not educated. i am.
    ... this is the dumbest idea i have ever heard...
    not only does adding weight to your legs mess up your muscle structure it also damages your joints. (your legs are not designed to have that weight on there when you are running, thats why you never see professional runners using weights on there legs)
    if you want to be fast first thing you need to do is
    1.) increase your stride. (stretch lot and often)
    2.) while your doing that jog alot like 2 miles a day (obviously dont start at 2 miles work your way up)
    3.) after you do that sprint 100m then take a slight break and try and do it faster than your first speed.
    4.) repeat step 3 two more times
    and that is just one day... every day you should run 2 miles and every other lift weights (squatting and what not)
    i run the 40 in 4.6 seconds thats not really fast but i am 200 pounds
    wow... i need to make my own tut......
    Actually what i did was :
    I've put my weights on legs and i was wearing them whole month...24/7 i wasn't wearing them only when i was showering ...Pros told me that i should do that once in year ..Duration: 1 month... And it did help... Not just for speed and condition...Actually helped me in jumps... I can easly jump and reach ( how does it called the thing in basketball where you need to throw the ball in) ...
    And i am not really tall...
    188 cm dunno in any other units...
    And Snocher , the thing you said that it can mess your muscles is kinda true, but only if you attach to hard weights...
    yes, that's why you would incrementally increase them, at slow intervals. so you DONT hurt yourself lol
    no what im saying is even if you add them at
    slow intervals
    you will still hurt yourself in the long run. (lol pun not intended) the only way to add weight and not hurt yourself is one of those vests that have weight slots in it.. adding weight to your legs is a dumb idea..
