D3scene downtime
I apologize for D3scene's downtime over the last 24 hours.

Some of you might already have noticed some prior FCGI errors. Those errors are caused by our forum software as it's not fully compatible with the current server's software.

Why not install new software then?
We are on a managed server, meaning that it's fully dedicated but managed by them. This has the advantage that they take care of backups and security, I can do whatever I like and don't have to worry about anything happening to my sites.

The disadvantage is that as they manage it they don't allow customization. That saves them from doing unnecessary work of course. We can't customize this server to our 100% needs.

Switching the servers
I am afraid of going back to a root-server where I have to manage everything. Nonetheless, we will do so. I found a guy who has the interest and technical skill to do something similar. I already found a good hoster (rackspace.com). We'll be going for cloud-hosting, allowing us to easily upgrade our servers in the future.

Stay tuned. Server move will be done sometime this week.

Thx hend for keeping us updated, Where are the privately 2-owned servers when you need them, so both you and some random guy can handle it.
Or why not get some trusted people to help you along with the root server, and put your other websites on another host?
