Another server switch

As announced on Twitter I switched servers again as the timeouts started annoying me. Previously I was managing the server on my own, doing backups and everything myself. I am good at managing a webserver, however not that skilled. Some script problems kept slowing the site, making it impossible to access.

I used a Cloud-server to host our site and now switched to a managed solution by Rackspace. It's a cloud-solution as well, allowing us to stay here forever, scaling D3scene to whatever we need :-). Furthermore they have the software installed required by vBulletin to work flawlessly. As they manage the server they overtake security and everything else that's important.

Do you notice any Speed-difference?

yes definently the site runs much smoother now and the forums loads a lot faster !

i have not noticed any change in speed, but its nice that you have switched to a managed solution. And the cloud-pool solution seems really interesting.
If we ever get ddosed or something like that, will the tech team take care of it?
