    A reminder on Chatbox usage

    Hello, community.

I just wanted to remind you about some rules that should be common sense when it comes to chatting on our Chatbox.

    • Chatbox language is english. Single sentences in other languages might be tolerated, however full conversations in another languages are not.
    • Insults count as insults, no matter if it's on the Chatbox or on the boards.. Please avoid derogative behaviour directly towards a community member. Of course there is a certain amount tolerated if it is not offending anyone and for fun.
    • Of course you're allowed to have fun on the Chatbox, that's what it's there for. But if you spam a couple pages full of bullshit, I will not hesitate to infract you.
    • Also, if anyone asks you to stop, take a moment and think what would be the best for the both of you. Use common sense.

For crying out loud, I'm gonna tighten these rules as long as you remember how to behave on the Chatbox. It's been pretty messy the last days, that cannot continue.

This is it for now, of course the staff reserves the right to modify, tighten or loosen and add rules at any given time.
I will also add this to the general rules if no ones objects.

You might discuss this matter here, but please stay friendly and keep on topic, I know this may not be as enjoyable as it has been before, but I'm sure the staff, and I, feel this was or is necessary.

    Yours sincerely, Jolinar.

You have a point here I do sometimes see some people talking in other laungages but don't see much insults. Maybe the odd mature statement toward another person but not much flaming. By insults though how far are you going to call something an insult?Would calling someone something that they are not offended by yet in RL would be considerate one?

I doubt we could generalize this...
Well, the normal stuff is okay I guess, but certain fascist expressions and the like are unnecessary and uncalled for, if you know what I mean. Furthermore, we (the staff) will decide individually what goes too far and what doesn't, after all I think there is a certain amount of common sense everyone has not to overdo the insulting-for-fun.

I think you know yourself when it's too much / too offending.
As you didn't get any infraction in the past for Shoutbox abusing / flaming, you should know what's okay and what not

It's like, nobody gets hurt if we call jolinar for jolinub, but if you keep harrasing the same member and he feels offended in any way, you went too far.
