D3scene 2010-2011 Contest
This will be an important announcement for every active user on D3scene. We will have few contests for this month for which the results will be announced on Jan 01, 2011. There will not be any restrictions for this contest in terms of participation. However, you should stick to general D3scene rules.
What will be the prize?
Okay, we decided to conduct these contests as we should have only the deserved ones to be the moderator in the respective sections. It’s time to prove that you are worth the position you have been allotted for. It is also time for those active members to prove their worth.
The contests will be simple, all you have to do is you have to keep your interest of section active. We will demote you if you are found inactive. So it is you who decide if you can be a moderator. If you don’t take initiative to make your section active, your chances of being selected as the mod will go down.
D3scene will begin with refreshed list of moderators from 2011, it is a new initiative and we might have quite a few dropped if you don’t do well. There is no point having a moderator who doesn’t even log in.
Timeline for the contest: The month of Decemeber.
Updates on contests will follow, it will start in the order:
-Software/Hardware and Mobile Phones(Includes all sub forums too)
-GFX Contest: D3scene Wallpaper and Banner contest
-Guides, Applications, Reviews for WC3/WoW/SC/CS/HoN/Sports and Racing Games/Console games.
Winners will be decided by the staffs and also by voting. All details about voting will also be updated.
Dates and other details will be updated.
You can contact any Admin/Gmod for more info about it. We don’t want any problem and arguments here on this thread or on any of the contest threads. Have fun and keep your section active. You can work as team if you collectively want to do a good job. Proving D3scene to be a good community matters a lot in these contests rather than trying for individual goals.
If any current moderator is seen abusing any power in order to improve chances of winning, you got more chances of losing.
Do not bother about anyone, keep contributing and you will get your deserved rank. Hendrik might later announce about other prizes (reputation and others). All moderators/non-moderators will be participating as normal users and the perfect one will be selected as mod. The number of mods necessary for each section will be decided by Staffs.
We will first start with D3scene Software, Hardware and Mobile section Contest
Check this thread for more updates.
Let the games begin

Wait, so if you are already a mod, you just have to keep being active and secure that section? Also what if you want to be a moderator for more than one section?
Resigned GFX Moderator. Left for professional GFX teams. Find me here
Keep the respective section active. If a moderator is found to be inactive, user will be demoted.
The best and deserved one will stay as mod for the respective section. This contest includes for all mods and users.

I will be demoted ):
Sounds fun, open too all usergroups?
Why should we need a mod who isn't active at al? You have been a lot contributive an d you shouldn't hesitate to take part now.
If there is someone who is worth that position, the user will be called by the Admins.
I guess people can start think about how to go on with the contest rather than complaining. PM Admins/Gmod for further info.
