Well I know I have been very absent for a long time but here's my come back.

The King Black Dragon can be very difficuilt at times, but the drops are definiley easy money. Not only does the money come in fast but you can spend hours at a time with a combat level over 72. Remember The Higher the level. The better chance you have for a drop.

Pt. 1: The King Black Dragon's Info and Stats

Something that's always interested me about the KBD is his low hitpoints but high defence and the ability to hit really hard. With KBD's amazingly low hitpoints it makes it a lot easier to defeat with less items in your inventory and staying in the area very long.

So how hard can he hit. Well to be exact I have used super defense pots to boost my def all the way up too 99. Still he managed to hit a 20 on me. So 99 defs are alright. I was wearing full Verac's as well. This dragon can be extremely dangerous so proceed with caution when entering his lair.

He is located in the wilderness. He has his own lair underneath the lesser demons.

Pt. 2 Guarenteed Victory Inventory
KBD can require a very costly inventory. It should not cost over 40k though so no worries. Here are some listed items to bring.

In your inventroy bring the following:
4 Super antipoison potions(4)
4 Antifire Potions(4)
2 Super Strength(4)
2 Super Defense(4)
2 Sara Brews(4) (Just in case)
Bring the rest in sharks, and tele tabs. Remember! Never mage a KBD. Not even if you have 99 mage.

Now for what to wear.

Range(Highly suggested if you have high range, 70+)
Karil's Helm/Archer's Helm
Karil's Body/Black D'hide
Karil's Skirt/ Black D'hide
Snakeskin Boots
Barrows Gloves/Gauntlets
Archer's Ring/ Ring of Wealth
Karil's Bow/ Rune C'bow
Bolt Racks/ Diamon Bolts(E) or Diamond Bolts
Dragonfire Shield/ Anti-dragon shield
Amulet of Fury/ Amulet of Glory
Range is a Highly Effective way to kill the King Black Dragon and works better then Melee unless you are extremely high melee!

Melee:
Verac's Helm/ Helm of Neitiznot
Bandos Chestplate/ Verac's Brassard/ D'hide body
Bandos Tassets/ Verac's Skirt/ D'hide chaps
Bandos Boots/ Rune Boots(Dragon boots not needed for melee)
Barrows Gloves/ Gauntlets/ Rune Gloves/Gauntlets
Armadyl Godsword/ Bandos Godsword(I've seen someone max a 81 with it on KBD)/ Whip/ Dragon Scimitar/ Dragon Longsword/ DD(P++)

Melee isnt exactly the best on KBD but it does wok with some high level weapons like a BGS or AGS

REMEMBER TO ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS HAVE A TELEPORT TAB IN YOUR INVENTORY.

Pt..3 Tactics
I'd say the best tactic at the moment is range to be honest. Nothing beats the site of 2 43's in a row. Using rnage over melee is the right choice if your a 70+ ranger. Especially when equipped properly. The only real way is too use super defense pots in order to boost your defense and hope you dont get hit too hard. Prayer may not be nesscicary but level 50+ prayer is a good addon.

Melee is more of just hope for luck style. So there is no tactic to it.

Pt. 4 Drops
The King Black Dragon has many Drops. Here is a short list:
