I. Before You Start
Ia. Welcome
Hey! I'm Darkgem233. I've been merchanting since I was level 15! My first ever 1 million
was made was when I was level 49, just after I did dragon slayer. I became quite successful in
my merchanting, and I've learnt quite a few things on the way! In this guide I will update and
tell you ways on how to make money, better than guides that you can buy. Note: I have
actually seen a few of these guide, don't buy them, you will be disappointed! This guide will
tell you all how to make cash from level 3 to level 126!
Q. How much money have you ever had?
A. Well if I hadn't ever spent it all, I could of easily reached, 250 million +
Q. What's your favourite thing to merchant?
A. Well I sometimes take it simple nowadays, like iron, but I do like merchanting barrows.
Q. How long have you been merchanting?
A. Since I was level 15 about 1 year and 3 months (no it didn’t take me that long to make
75M+)
Q. Can you teach me how to merchant?
A. Read the guide
Ib. Basic Hints and tips
Well before you do start making money, you might want to read this and take a look at some
of the pictures!
Always try and use a calculator, no matter how good you think you know your math, a
calculator always comes in handy when working with bulk, unstable priced items! Remember
you've always got the system calculator.
If your dealing with items that are worth little, always deal in bulk. There's no point in dealing
with 1 item that’s worth 100gp.
Demanding items are where everyone is buying but no one is selling. No demand for an item
is where everyone is selling but no one is buying.
Always, always check the second screen. Don't just trust people, they can all scam you no
matter who they are.
Never buy a useless item for 1k ea, say a law. There's no point. If you have enough, buy 1k
laws for 300 ea and it will last you. Be resourceful!
Use the forums, they're heaven for merchanters.
Keep your topics bumped and well organized.
Have fun!

Ic. Think you know Merchanting?
Well if you are already Merchanting, and know how to do it, you are as good as you could
be? It's not just about buying low and selling high if you want to be as successful as you could
be. Keep reading, fair enough you have to buy low and sell high, but its hard; you've got to
know your worlds, your market, your prices, your people. The worlds are everything, if its a
merchanting world obviously, there will be people selling for high prices, and people buying
at high prices. If you chose a world with about 1000 - 1800 players there will be trade and fair
prices, it all works out. You have to know your market, what are you buying and is this item
in demand? You can tell if an items in demand or not just by the people. If its "Buying XXX"
and no ones selling, its in high demand. If its "Selling XXX" and no ones buying its in low
demand. There's no point in merchanting if the item has no buyers

II. 1Gp - 50K
IIa. Flax Picking
Requirements:
Membership
This is fairly simple, it requires no money, to actually make profit. Start off at Seers’ bank,
with an empty inventory, go too the flax fields, north in between the Seers’ houses, and the
party hall, once you get there its on your left, a big field with lots of plants, pick a full
inventory, then go to this spinning wheel indicated on this map upstairs:
After that, click on the spinning wheel, and click spin x type in a random number quickly
above 28 and it will spin all your flax for you, you will get bow strings, worth 150 , 180 ea,
repeat this until you have about 50K
IIb. Law Running
Requirements:
27 unnoted essence (pure)
Membership
If you have membership and are low on cash I recommend going too Draynor, in either world
66 or 99, take 27 unnoted pure essence, make sure you don’t wear any armour or weapons,
now go too Port Sarim docks with 27 unnoted pure essences, if you look around you should
see some people in monk's robes (the Entrana monks are in front of the pub).
Talk to one and you will be transported to Entrana, now usually there will be a lot of people,
follow them if not go all the way to the northeast corner. There should be an alter, now your
looking for people with Zamorak robes (red robes) once you find one trade them and give
them your essence they will trade you 27 laws and 27 noted ess take this back too the Draynor
bank and repeat, sell the laws anywhere in between 250 - 300 ea. Keep merchanting until
around 50K.
IIc. World 16 Airs
Requirements:
25 unnoted essence (normal)
Air tiara/talisman
This is another good way to make money, not as good as laws in my opinion, but still it works
quite well in F2P. Go to Falador in world 16:
Start off at the bank take out your tiara or talisman and head too the air altar.
Go in to the air alter and look for people saying open, they will give you either 2K - 3K or
125 - 250 airs and your essences back (noted). I try and do this in the evening you will get
more cash and more people crafting. Keep merchanting until around 50K.
IId. Snape Grass
Method 1
Requirements:
24 Agility
This is fairly Simple and can make a lot of cash fast.
Start off in Falador west bank (the small one) and head west too the wall with an empty
inventory, go across the crumbling wall ( 24 agility) and head south towards the crafting
guild. Head south again going still past the crafting guild and on the west side you will see
some hobgoblins (near Melzar’s Maze) if your a high enough level they will not attack you
now look out for Snape Grass respawns.
There are 4 - 5 altogether. Try and get a full inventory and head back the way you came, bank
the Snape Grass and head back and repeat, now go and sell on the forums for 400 - 600 ea
that means a whole inventory is worth 14000 - 16000 gp. Keep merchanting until around
50K.
Method 2
Requirements:
1x water
3x air
1x law
This method is faster but you don’t make as much profit. Basically do the same as before:
walk there and collect the Snape Grass, trying to evade the hobgoblins then teleport and bank
at the west (small) bank. It’s much faster but you definitely lose a lot more cash. You pretty
much make half profit but make the trip 3x faster. Keep merchanting until around 50K.
IIe. Choc Dust
Method 1
Requirements:
Membership
Pestle and Mortar
30,000 - 50,000 gp
This method is quite good but takes a lot of banking and world hopping. I recommend getting
a third party client e.g Swiftswitch or Draynors world switcher[Not working any longer, since
it’s against the rules. Get EliteSwitch]. Head off too the Gnome Stronghold, the Grand Tree,
bring your money and a pestle and mortar, go up a floor then go too the food shop, buy all the
chocolate bars and grind them with the pestle and mortar. There are 10 at a time that respawn.
Grind them all swap world and bank in the Gnome Stronghold. Bank and repeat. I would sell
these on the forums for 400 - 500 ea. Keep merchanting until around 50K.
Method 2
Requirements:
Membership
Pestle and Mortar
50K
Access too the cul. chest in Lumbridge
This method is at least 10x more effective. Use the buy from chest right click option and buy
all 50 chocolate bars and choc dust, 100 altogether. Then use the bank option and store them
all. Swap worlds and repeat. This is much more effective but the chocolate bars cost more.
Sell for the same price 400 - 500 ea. Keep merchanting until around 50K
IIf.White Berries
Requirements:
Membership
A sharp weapon preferably a knife
A teleport to Camelot or Ardougne
Starting off in Ardougne. Head to the teleport lever for the wilderness:
Pull it and use your sharp weapon too cut the cob webs, then head east, you'll soon see some
white berries start taking them get as much as you want. Teleport back to Ardougne /Camelot.
Watch out for pkers. I recommend just logging out or teleporting they will most likely cast
Telblock, now you've got the white berries sell them on the forums for 900 - 1.1k ea. Keep
merchanting until around 50K.
IIg. Big Bones (1)
Requirements:
Not to be afraid of going in the wilderness!
This is a fairly simple way to make money but its quite long(6-10 minutes), but can bring 8.4k
per inventory. Starting off in Edgeville. Work your way through the wilderness to the bone
yard
Indicated on the map above, once you reach it, start looking for bones that are slightly larger
than normal and start picking as many as you can through the bone yard, there about 7
respawns there. Keep picking them all up and beware of the level 24 skeletons. They are
dangerous to lower levels, take them back to Edgeville, bank and go again. You can make 50
- 100k an hour using this method. Keep merchanting until you reach 50k then move on!
III. 50K - 300K
IIIa. Water filled Vials (WFV)
Method 1
Requirements:
12k
Membership
Start off in Ardougne’s big bank. Take out your cash and head too the general store, there will
be 1 - 250 vials buy 27 and run back to the bank, head back and buy more, keep on repeating
until you have 1 - 5k vials then sell on the forums for 250 - 300 ea, this works really well but
there is most likely some competition. Keep merchanting until around 300K.
method 2
Requirements:
12k
Shilo Village quest
Membership
Go to Karamja and go to Shilo Village(you need Shilo Village Quest). There is a general store
with a respawn of 500 and a bank nearby. Take 12k and if your lucky in 2 world hops you'll
have 1k WFV, repeat and sell on the forums. This method is much more effective, faster and
it makes it a lot easier. Keep merchanting until around 300K
IIIb. bronze Arrows
Requirements:
6k+
Access to an arrow shop
Go to an arrow shop in a low populated world, eg. Varrock, and buy all bronze arrows. There
should be anywhere in between 1 - 1500, then swap worlds and repeat this process until you
have run out of cash. Either sell in world 2 or 1[World 1 in the arrow shop in Varrock] for 10
- 15 ea or on forums for 20 ea making 400% profit. Keep merchanting until around 300K.
IIIc. Water Runes
Requirements:
50k+
Access to a Rune Shop
Start off by taking 50k out of the bank and go to your nearest rune shop, on a less populated
world. Then start buying all the water runes, until they hit 15 ea, then swap worlds and start
buying them all over again until they hit 15 ea, keep on repeating this technique, and try to
use the mages guild or average rune shops. They all respawn to 5000 and with enough cash it
takes no time at all too buy these. You can make double your profit by selling these on the
forums at 25 - 30 ea. Keep merchanting until around 300K.
IIId. Iron Ore
Requirements:
50K
A medium populated world
Head off to Falador on a medium populated world (1100-1700). Go to the east bank (big
bank) and start typing: “Buying all iron ore 50 ea - name-“. Turn your public chat on hide and
click on the trades you get in your chat box. It’s good to have a calculator at hand, because the
amount of iron will vary.
Buy as much as you can off of that world, don’t get stressed if the world hasn’t got good
trade, just swap to a different one, I’d recommend French worlds. After you have bought as
much as you could, go to world 1,3 or 4 and sell them 90 - 110 ea. It’s really easy to do and
the popularity and trade in iron has increased in F2P. Keep merchanting until around 300K.
IIIe. Watermelon Seeds
Requirements:
50K
A medium level World
Membership
Go to Seers’ bank on a medium level world on members (1000 – 1500) and say: “Buying all
watermelon seeds 1k ea -name-“. Once you get some trades buy all the seeds you can. Then
either use the forums or world 2 too sell them 2-3k ea. This makes quick profit especially
buying in bulk. Buy in either Draynor or Seers these 2 places work really well. Keep
merchanting until around 300K.
IIIf. Chaos Merchanting
Requirements:
112K
Membership (if you don't want macros)
A low level world
This is a fairly simple method, yet again another shop buying method. This involves going to
any rune shop with chaos in it. The chaos in rune shops have a max value of 122 gp ea and a
maximum respawn of 250. Go to a low level world, and buy all the runes you can then swap
worlds. You should do 4 world hops and sell for 130 - 150 ea, this is really easy and has a
good market. You should earn some quick cash using this method.
IIIg. Rune essence
Requirements:
20K+
A fairly medium level world
This is a fairly easy option for probably people with not much cash, although it is quite
profitable with 500K+ making a 33% profit. Go to Varock east bank.
Start buying all the rune essence you can for 20 - 25gp ea, once you have spent all your
money, move in to a merchanting world 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 12 and sell them at 30 - 50 ea or go to
the forums and sell them if you have membership. This is a fairly simple method. Keep
merchanting until you have around 1M.
IIIh. Cow Hides
Requirements:
100K+
This is a really easy and quick way to make money. Take your money out of the bank and go
to Al Kharid.
Start buying all the cowhides you can until you have 1500 or less in your inventory, then go
to world 1 and sell them at 150 - 250 ea. It’s another quick and effective way, but not one I
prefer.
IIIi. Willows
Requirements:
25K+
A medium level world
Head to Draynor bank with all your money.
Then start typing "Buying all willows 25 ea –name-". If your on world 16 you should get a lot
of trades, buy them at 25gp ea, until all your money is spent up. Stay in the same place, hop
from world X to world 1 one and sell them at 35 - 45 ea, or sell them on the forums, for a lot
more money.
IV. 300K - 1M
IVa. B String Merchanting
Requirements:
Membership
300K+
This is how I went from an Abyssal whip to full Verac in 3 Days spending about 3 hours each
day. That are 9 hours. Start off in the bank or the spinning wheel building and start typing:
"Buying all b strings 150 ea -name-". You will get a lot of trades. Start buying all of them
until you have 2k bow strings.
Then world hop to world 2 , not much walking required, head of to Seers’ bank and sell all
your B strings anywhere in between 180 -200 ea.
IVb. Rune Merchanting
Requirements:
170K+
Rune merchanting can be profitable but most of the time is very hard and takes experienced
merchants too merchant with them. Still there is one profitable way, go to world 1, 3 or 4 and
go to the rune merchanting section, next to the bank - east side and buy all of the rune pieces
separately. Buy the legs 40 -45k ea, buy the helms 20 - 25k ea, buy the legs 40 - 45k ea and
the bodies 45k - 50k ea and then all the kites 40k - 45k ea. Then you should be able to sell for
175k - 185k which can be 10 - 30k profit. If you have members, you can buy them even
cheaper. Keep merchanting until around 1M.
IVc. Big Bones (2)
Requirements:
300K
First off go too a slightly crowded F2P world and buy all the big bones you can for 300K.
Eventually you should get 1k. That’s the easy part, there are quite a lot of sellers nowadays.
After you have 1k go to a merchanting world 1, 3, 4 and go to the west side of the bank and
sell your bones from anywhere in between 350 – 400. It’s hard to sell them for 400 ea.
because they haven’t got much high trade. Keep merchanting until around 1M.
IVd. Lobsters
Requirements:
Membership
200 -250K
A medium Member world
You need membership, because everything has a lower value in members. Basically you need
to buy the lobbies cheap either from Catherby or Seers’ bank. They will sell 30 gp ea. and you
should be able too sell in world 1 or a pking world at Edgeville This makes easy profit just
from manipulating the system and using membership to your advantage. Keep merchanting
until around 1M.
IVe. Coal Ore
Requirements:
150K
A medium F2P world
Coal ore is quite commonly merchanted especially in F2P. Many people buy it at 150 ea and
get some trades. You need to buy at 160 ea too give a small noticeable advantage buying at
160 ea[I managed to buy it for even 140 ea, try Dutch worlds]. Try to get 1k using a medium
populated world. It’s easy. Once you have 1k move to world 1 and sell for 200 ea[that’s hard;
mostly only 180-190 ea will work]. That’s a quick 50 - 40k profit. Keep merchanting until
around 1M.
IVf. Rannar Seeds
Requirements:
400K
Membership
Rannar seeds are one of my favourite things to merchant. They are quick and easy to deal
with. They have a high value because of farming. Go to Seers or Draynor bank on a slightly
populated world and buy all the Rannar seeds for 10k -15 ea. You can also do this with
Snapdragon seeds, but let’s keep it simple. Once you have spent up your money, either sell on
the forums 21k -25k ea or in world 2 in the big bank at 20k - 25k ea, I recommend this
method to anyone, since they are really good to deal with. Keep merchanting until around 1M.
IVg. Law runes
Requirements:
Monkey Madness Completed
Monkey Gree Gree
Camelot Teleport
Once you have completed Monkey Madness, you have a new option which can make a lot of
money: law runes! You need to go to the rune shop on Ape Atoll to get them.
First go to the hanger again, and go to crash island, then take the boat to Ape Atoll. Use your
monkey gree gree to turn into a monkey and you won’t be attacked. Go to the main gate and
open it then you should go to the rune shop. Buy all the runes until they hit 260 - 270 ea.
Don’t go any higher or you won’t make much profit. When your money has gone teleport to
Camelot, swap to world 2 and sell them at 300 - 350 ea. Then go back and repeat.
IVh. Death Runes
Requirements:
225K
A low level world
An empty runeshop
Well this can be accomplished on F2P but it is much harder due to the Rune Autoers, so P2P
is recommended, but it is another fairly simple yet profitable way to make money. First off
find a runeshop you like to use, which is not to crowded, pest control, mages guild, Zammy
Mage (not recommended), Port Sarim, or mage arena. Once your at your chosen rune shop
start spending as much as you can on death runes, and if you want to do chaos as well at the
same time, it can double your profit, hop between worlds until you have spent all your money,
then make your way to a merchanting world 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 12 and sell your runes at 260 - 280
ea making a nice bit of cash.
V. 1M - 2M
Va. Saradomin Plate
Requirements:
1M
Membership
So basically you have to go to a merchanting world, I’d recommend world 2, and go to the
treasure trails section, there should either be some sellers selling for 1M or 1.05. Try and pick
up the plate for at least 1.025, once you have the plate, head off to world 1 and go too there
rare armour Section, and try and sell it for about 1.2M or slightly less, you could also use the
forums. Keep merchanting until around 2M.
Vb. Zamorak Plate
Requirements:
850K
Membership
This is exactly the same as the Saradomin plate. Buy the plate for 850k - 900k, just try and
buy it for a price that you are willing to pay, then same as before move to world 1 and sell for
around 1M this is almost exactly the same. Keep merchanting until around 2M.
Vc. Steel Bars
Requirements:
525K
I have made 3M off of these. It’s quite easy, first off, go to a medium populated world and
start typing: "Buying all steel bars 525 ea -name-". You’ll get some trades buy all you can,
now move to a merchanting world 1, 3, or 4 and start to sell them for 550 to 600 ea. Keep
merchanting until around 2M.
Vd. Unidentified Herb Merchanting
Requirements:
11 unid stacks
Membership
500K
This is the most complicated, but before starting you're going too need an anti scam: first off
you need 11 unid stacks. By either killing the chaos druids or buying. Then identify 1 out of
each stack so you know what each stack is. Keep that noted now take all stacks Rannar and
above and fill the rest of your inventory with logs pure essence, etc. This only let’s you have
stacks of the above Rannars. You get the picture?
Now go and by as many unids above rannar as you can, for about 1k ea, keep the stacks even
and organised (dont mix them up). You need too remember them. After you have bought as
many as you can for 1k ea, go onto a merchanting world 2, 6, or 9, go to Falador bank and sell
the stacks above Rannar for 2k - 3k ea or identify the stacks and sell for even more. Keep
merchanting until around 2M.
VI. 2M - 5M
VIa. Pot Merchanting
Requirements:
Membership
2M
Pot merchanting is brilliant and easy. There are 3 main pots which I would recommend
merchanting: Range pots, Prayer Pots, and Super Sets, these can make a lot of cash fast! I
would start in world 2 in the pot merchanting section, buy all the range pots you can for 3k
each, these prices stay pretty firm so don’t expect to be wrong. Swap worlds to world 18 and
sell at Edgeville for 4k ea = 25% profit. The same goes with prayer pots but buy at 6.5k and
sell at 7k to 7.5k ea at Edgeville world 18. Super sets are a bit more complicated but they still
are fairly easy to handle, buy the pots seperatly for about 500 - 700 gp cheaper than there
worth in the set and sell them in world 18 Edgville for the current price or more. Keep
merchanting until around 5M.
VIb.Oaks to Planks
Requirements:
400K
Membership
Ever since construction came out it opened up some more merchanting techniques I
recommend going to world 1 and buying 1k oaks with your money. Buy at 30 - 50 gp ea -
slightly more than willows. Once you have bought 1k go to a members world and take 27
unnoted logs to the sawmill and all your cash and make them into planks.
Don’t worry about spending just make them all into planks, once you have done this, you
should have 1k oak planks. You can either sell on forums or world 1 for a massive 500 - 550
ea making well over 200k profit. Keep merchanting until around 5M.
VIc. Sharks
Requirements:
membership
900K
Patience
This is fairly simple and similar to pots, first off you need too pick up sharks cheap 700 -
800k. Try buying off of the forums or in a merchanting world. Now basically go to Edgeville
and sell at the current price or more. It makes it really easy but there isn’t much profit.
Recommended to people who spend time alching in Edgeville like me. Keep merchanting
until around 5M.
VId. Seed Merchanting
Requirements:
2M
Membership
Seed merchanting is one of my favourite things to do. This is the trick, ever since farming
came out people found it boring so nobody bothered with the seeds. The seeds soon grow in
value when they realised how much money they could make. This set off a link of events
known as the seed chain. So you can buy seeds cheap I’d say tree seeds about 5- 10k under
the street value and no one will realise. I’d sell them on the forums for about 10k more. It
works best with tree seeds. Buy in Seers or Draynor. Keep merchanting until around 5M.
VII. 5M - 10M
VIIa. Barrows Merchanting
Method 1
Requirements:
5M+
This is a simple method that only needs to be done in one place, but is less effective then
method 2 but can still make 3M+ a day. Make sure you are in world 2 Falador and go to either
the Ahrims, Dharoks or Torags merchanting section. I would recommend Ahrims is quite
simple to start with. Buy all the pieces separately: hood, bottom, top no staff, you could but its
a waste of time. Once you have all the pieces start typing: "Selling Full Ahrims no staff
-price- -name-“ or you could sell on forums for -price- to make better profits. Keep
merchanting until around 10M.
Method 2
Requirements:
Membership
Teleportation (everywhere)
7M+
Method 2 is a lot more efficient than method 1. This is basically my world, your place.
Buying off of the forums quite cheap and selling for quite high. What you have to do is, grab
your cash, some teleport runes (to every place in RuneScape). Now start buying pieces of
barrows separately, off of the forums, cheaper than the normal price. Bundle up your sets, and
sell them as full sets in world 2 making a lot of profit, then just go back and do it all again, its
fast and really effective. Sometime you could make a store on the forums, and try to get some
permanent sellers. Keep merchanting until around 10M.
VIIb. System Update
Requirements:
7M+
66 mage or 63 mage (with a wizard mind bomb)
This is a brilliant way to make cash it, involves a system update these usually occur on
Mondays or Sundays, mostly Mondays though, keep your eye out. When it occurs all the
shops set back to the original amount of items. This is also where EliteSwitch helps - Alot!
Start buying all the mages guild, mage arena, Zamorak mage, pest control rune shops out.
Start from blood all the way to the airs and repeat. Swap worlds until you spend your money
up, sell on forums or on world 2 rune merchanting.
VIII. 25M+
VIII. Rare Merchanting Secrets
Method 1
Requirements:
25M+
Patience
With any rare this is the most simple, but the most boring way. It’s basically buying and
waiting for the rare too rise in price over time, fair enough you can make cash.
Method 2
Requirements:
25M+
Membership
One of the other ways this involves being on at different times of the day, and quite a high
knowledge of merchanting. Basically the more money you got the more money you will
make, start buying a rare in the morning or as many as you can, then keep them until the
evening when more players are on and the market value rises for them. This is your chance to
sell 1m+ of what you bought it for.
Method 3
Requirements:
Membership
160M+
This is the way people make millions in seconds. This is known as the Phat plus cash method,
if you have a Phat above purple, sell it for another Phat and cash on the forums, make sure
you add 1 to 2M on the cash side of things. And sell the lower phat than yours in the evening
to make even more profit. or if you have a phat that’s worth 2 lower level party hats sell it on
the forums for them 2, and sell the new 2 you have for even more in the evening. It works
really well.

X. Skills
Xa. Fishing
Fishing is a brilliant skill for making money especially from level 40 upwards. Lobsters have
a huge market especially with pures, in non members, they have an increasing price and at 40
fishing they can be sold at 240 ea uncooked. If you fish swordfish, there is no market for
them, I don’t know what has happened with the market there just doesn’t seem to be one.
Lobsters are more efficient at level 50 anyway and are a lot better. Once you get to level 60,
you are close to the fishing guild but still I would fish lobsters racking up the cash at 250K
per 1k. If you are level 70 you have access to the fishing guild, but still you can’t fish sharks.
Sharks are valuable, and are worth a lot if you have 76 fishing. Start fishing sharks, they are
worth double or triple the worth of lobsters start at the fishing guild. Just start fishing and
selling in 1ks for 700 - 1k ea, you can go all the way with sharks to 99 and to about 25m+!!
Xb. Runecrafting
Runecrafting can make you 1m+ an hour if your good enough! You can basically start with
airs and make profit, airs will double, then triple, and so on the more essence the profit there
is to be made basically. Now once you progress far enough I just recommend sticking with
airs until level 44 then you can make natures, natures bring in 310 - 330 ea. At this point you
should be using the abyss with pouches and pure essence and should be making a lot of profit.
These have a big market also for fletchers, alchers, etc. If you continue runecrafting natures
you should soon aspire to level 91. If you ever do reach it your Nats will get doubled and you
can make millions in seconds, its where the big cash starts to roll in. You should continue
with the abyss and pouches and you will soon have 100M+
Xc. Smithing
Smithing is a very profitable skill especially if you mine and acquire the items yourself. Rune
is worth a lot especially since its worth a lot in non members. If you basically start smithing
you wont really make profit until about level 60 when you can smith mithril which is worth
10k in non members. Start mining and selling, until you can smith addy then eventually rune,
its not that hard if you make it your career. You can soon smith full rune or parts of rune and
make profit, but its expensively done and expensively sold, the market is not changing much
so its quite a good skill and is quite handy, especially when smithing arrows and skill related
items.
Xd. Mining
Mining is as basic as smithing, its basically mine, bank sell pretty simple, but it can be
profitable from any level, iron sells for 100 ea in bulk amounts, coal 200 in bulk, mith 300+,
gold 300+, addy 1k+ and the favoured runite 11k+!! It’s an insane profit at level 85 but its
quite a hard skill (if your not powermining). There are some good mining spots but if your
mining coal use the coal trucks they can hold 120 then you can bank and repeat that’s 1K coal
in 4 trips. That’s 200K just like that. Once you move up the ladder you make more profit
especially with rune. Say you get 20 runite ores a trip that’s 200K a trip easily, but it requires
a lot of world hopping even though it is quite profitable!
Xe. Construction
The moment construction came out it took a massive 70 Billion+ (I’ve heard its a lot more!)
out of the economy, but it also has its upsides, they thought it was just another pointless skill
like firemaking , the only reason it was there is because people want a nice house, but they
were wrong, terribly wrong! This can make millions, people sell flat pack items on the forums
for 10K and make millions every day! You require high enough skills to make teak + items,
you can even stock on supplies to make enough, then basically use the forums, and sell.
People will usually buy now as construction in houses is becoming very popular! You can
make 80k+ every time you make a chefs delight! It also helps in the kitchen. This is quite
profitable. It’s not such a pointless skill after all.
Xf. Herblore
Herblore is a very profitable skill along with many other skills, but this skill requires patience,
time and skill. This is very hard to master, getting the levels is hard, and knowing where to
buy and sell, and what to make is even more complicated. There is an open market for potions
as well for herbs. You basically can start making profit from the level 12 making strength
potions that will sell 200 - 1k in non members which is already nice profit, but when you can
make prayer potions is where the big profit is. Get Rannars and Snape grass then, make it into
prayer potion, make enough then sell in world 2 from anywhere 6 - 8k ea. You can carry on to
make super sets which are the most profitable potion sets in RuneScape. From there on you'll
make a lot of profit!
Xg. Farming
With farming there are hidden ways to make profit, but the only way is by growing herbs.
Herbs themselves start at level 12 with Guams but there is no profit with them. The real profit
starts when you grow Rannars. These are highly profitable especially for someone lazy, who
doesn’t want to do anything. You need Rannar seeds (20K+) ea super compost (2k+) ea and a
nature amulet! Then start growing once your Rannars have grown, pick them, there can be 5 -
12 so no matter what you always make profit. They sell for 7k ea meaning if you have 5 that’s
15,000. If you have 12 that’s 84k! For spending 20k! From there on to 99 stick with Rannars
its worth it!
Xh. Thieving
Thieving isn’t really profitable but you don’t have to spend anything to make anything, you
can steal natures from chests every 10 seconds in Ardougne, that’s 300 gp every 10 seconds
1.8K every minute 108K every hour! You can also steal/pickpocket from guards, paladins,
bandits, elves, gnomes or the blood chests. They make a lot more profit especially if your
constantly thieving it can go up to 500k+ per hour and you don’t spend anything!
Xi. Fletching
Fletching is a popular skill for making money, but it requires a high level to make profit in the
first place(level 70), but its easy to get up. If you have the cash, once you reach 75, you've got
the skill to make yew longs. Buy bow strings, 150 ea and yew logs 250 ea make into bows
then sell, pretty easy if you ask me, or you can alch them to make even more profit, you can
keep going on this skill until your at least level 99, but by level 85 you want to make mage
shorts or longs, which alch at 1.2K ea, this means a lot more profit. This skill is easy to get to
99 whilst making profit as well!
Xj. Crafting
Crafting is a fairly good skill and you can make slight profits at any level, but you make good
profits when you can make amulets, you need a ball of wool, a good magic skill, gold bars,
and a cut gem of any kind, make it all into an amulet and sell, you probably spend 1k on
supplies, but can sell your amulets 2k+ on all of them. Some require higher levels in magic
and crafting, to make more profit such as furies these can make lots of cash! Spend all your
money on chaos or death or obby mauls then sell! Until you have enough for an onyx, cut
craft sell! For 700K+ profit!
Xk. Woodcutting
Woodcutting is simple profitable, easy, but time consuming judging on your woodcutting
level. It's simple: take your woodcutting axe and start choppin'. You need a good level to start
making a head way of profit, 45 - 60 being able to cut maples for 100 ea until level 60 is
really effective, then yews for 300 ea until you get to the magic trees slow but big money 800
- 1000 ea. They take time to cut but can be worth it.
XIa. Making A Business.
Introduction to a business
I’m not going to lie to you a business is the HARDEST Part of anyone’s merchanting career.
It took me 4 Months to get mine successfully running, but after I took some serious rewards,
with the profit growing every week. A business is time consuming, hard to set up, and its hard
to find workers. It will also probably take 2M to even get started properly. Also try to start
simply, your knowledge will grow with every step. Read on, on how to get started.
Starting a business
Now to get started on a business, forget all the crap that these millions guide teach you, "I
made a million in a whole hour with my business". Forget that, its harsh, and it will never
come easy ... ok. First thing you want to do is decide what you are going to do whether it be
run a shop for benefit of people, or.. employment for the benefit of you, a shop will be selling
to other people and possibly you, so you are not benefiting yourself, but are helping a
community of people. Employment is a business where they work for you, so you get all
items and all profit, Greedy . Once you have decided think of what items you will deal with,
such as logs, feathers, steel bars. This is a tough decision, I went straight in with a mining
employment business, dealing with ores and bars, which made me a lot of profit, eventually.
its your choice this will have to be a wise one. Now you are thinking on the lines of how to
advertise (get workers) for your business, workers are the core to any business without them
the business would NOT flow. Set reasonable prices such as 160 - 180 ea per coal, and set a
certain schedule, and don’t forget to track there progress and reward them. So I recommend
advertising on fan sites and the RuneScape forums, but all workers have to have a "home"
site. Such as a basic invision free or freewebs website. Just so they can keep an eye on what’s
going on. After that you want to get started assigning jobs, or put up a job list that you want
doing, once the workers are finished, buy off of them and sell on to skillers ect. for a nice bit
of profit.
Advanced business running
Now you have learnt the key to a business why not make it better, a business should flow
workers, co-insiding with the management, try to get a good community and something good
to buy and sell with, the most successful items you use, will ensure a good flow of profit and
happy workers. Ensure the jobs aren't to hard either, set different job levels, (example: Hard -
5000 - 10000 coal, Medium - 2000 - 4999 coal, easy 100 - 1999 coal. After this I guess you
could just rake the profit in.
XII.Player Killing (Pking)
XIIa. Introduction to pking
Pking in my opinion, is a fun, risking, easy way to make cash (depending on your level) and
with the biggest single area in RuneScape your very own playground, what can go wrong? It’s
tough to compete out there now, I would know. It takes skill, money and a good account to
even start making profit. But I will say to you it will be worth it and on the other side its fun.
I Pked for about 4 months with a friend Topdog2106. We became fairly good for level 30's
pkers, and when we pked with our mains we got some really good stuff. (these Are Just Basic
Guides to An area, Not how to PK).
XIIb. The Wilderness
Points Of Intrest
1. Just Outside of Varrock, This Is a good place for all pures to start, as there are low levels,
and new pkers. Staying also within running distance from pkers, and you sould also be able to
find a similar level to yours.
Levels: 3 - 40
2. Chaos Temple, this is commonly used for death matches, but is also a hiding place for
clans, and a good spot to pick of someone recharging there prayer, but beware some higher
levels may try and attack you being close to the black knights fortress. A fairly easy place to
pk as well.
Levels: 25 - 60
3. Outer Edgeville. This is the Pking and one of the merchanting towns, a fairly common
place for luring (or was until the ditch), this is a common place to pk in members but not so
common in f2p. But there are higher levels and more experienced pkers, ready to kill you in a
few hits, this is also a good spot to kill people running from the green dragons.
Levels: 30 - 126
4. The green dragons, a perfect pking spot with a guaranteed drop, there are different ways
you could kill people here, one of the ways I will mention is by waiting them for to kill there
dragon (have a dragon dagger P++) equipped then run up to them just before they eat and
special attack them until they die.
Levels: 50 - 126
5. The Abyss, a perfect place in people's opinion to kill the runecrafters, or if you wish kill the
pkers which try and kill the runecrafters. Located on outer edgeville, you can buy runes from
the Zamorak mage. making a perfect place for a mage pker.
levels: 55 - 126
6. The Dark knights fortress, one of the most popular places for tag teams, piler's and F2P
action. This is where mainly High levels will go to Pk, usually with there "Mains" best to
come prepared with some good food, and potions, and maybe a friend, or trusted Team.
Levels:40 - 126
7. Demonic Ruins. The Place where F2P wars are held, and usually a lot of high level Pkers
and teams, ( I Pked Someone In full bronze and a bronze 2h here, getting a rune scimmy.)
Beware: You cant teleport Or runaway really its deep wilderness, so expect death matches.
(Come Prepared)
Levels 50 - 126
8. The Hill Giants. Yet Another popular F2P and member Pking spot, it is similar to the black
knights fortress. But it has level 50 Pkers and teams venturing to kill higher levels. There can
be a lot of people around her an unexpecting people.
Levels: 50 - 126
9. The Bone Yard. Not a pking place as such, but it will have pkers and bone collectors
running through there, bone collectors will be easy prayer XP as well, but watch out for other
high levels passing through Considering you as an easy kill.
Levels 60 - 126
10. The Fight Arena. Mainly a place for wars, not really for pking, so if you have a clan, scoot
on over to the Fight Arena and battle it out.
Any Level
11. Lava Fight Arena. I really haven't seen this before and I would appreciate a proper name,
but from what I have been told it’s a bigger better fight arena, scoot that clan over and get the
killing done.
Any Level
12. The Deserted Keep. A place where people enter from Ardougne teleport lever, and try to
get to mage arena or to a pking spot. So you can wait for someone to enter and start to unleash
your ancient's, arrows, or DDP++ special to bring them to the ground.
13. The Mage Arena. Last but not least a very violent pking spot, What you might call ######
on RuneScape. Its mixture of high level pures, and level 100's make this a very volatile place,
so I would recommend lots of sharks, Super Potions, and a friend or 2 just to back up a killing
spree.
levels:90+

players.
XIId. Pking Tequniques
Dragon Dagger K.O
Start attacking with a dragon scimitar and start to get them on low health equip you DDS,
then special them until they fall. it only takes a few hits just to finish them off especially with
a high level strength account, a good place to use this K.O is at the green dragons, when they
finish killing there dragon, and they start to eat a lobster have a super strength pot readied up,
and a DDS special at the ready, wait until they have just killed one, and attack them probably
killing them first hit, allowing you to take there stuff.
Rune Hander K.O
For non member pkers with high strength this works really well. have a rune scimmy and a
rune 2 hander. once you have whacked someone enough with the rune scimmy getting them
to low health whip out the 2h at the right time, and it will deal out a 20+ with strength pot and
70+ strength. meaning a down if they are unsuspecting. Try finishing someone PK, when they
run away try and K.O them it works
Mage Bow Snapshot.
This is simple for rangers, and can Deal High damage, range pot and 70+ range with rune
arrows and a special attack. This can easily hit double 20+ meaning 40+, start with darts, or
throwing knives and use this to finish them.
Ancient dagger.
This is for mages with a very high mage level and a very good strength and a prospect of
wielding a dragon dagger. start Ice barraging your target or blitz. dealing high damage, keep
them frozen and attack, when they start running, freeze them again and repeat, eventually
killing them, try this at the green dragons again. as it is effective for people healing.
Mage/Range combo.
Start in some range/ mage gear, preferably mystic top and black dragon bottoms, them with a
mage bow and some runes for Barrage or Blitz, start ranging them then freezing them, and
ranging from a distance especially if there melee they cant attack back turn on smite , and
finish them off with a snapshot with no defence they should die quite fast.
Range/melee combo
Ranging and melee is quit effective against attacking mages and other rangers. the DDS
should be used to finish them off. start ranging with rune arrows with potion, then DDS to
finish them off
melee/mage combo
another effective combo, same as range use a mage potion and barrage or blitz to start killing
and freezing them on spot. then Use DDS to finish simple, yet effective
Tag Team. Modern/Ancient
This requires 2 people a tag team a modern mage and an ancient. This Requires Both mages
with levels 80+ the modern mage should tele block and god spell them, whilst the ancient
freezes, and finishes off, 2 mages together make a lethal team, using modern and ancient is an
effective combo, allowing almost no escape.
Tag team. Modern Mages
Well this works as effective but it requires a quick kill because you cant really slow them
down, just try to get some max hits on them with god spells, or fire wave. and don’t forget to
Teleblock.
Teleblock/melee combo.
This is slightly more easy with someone about 80+ mage and 80+ strength combining a
Teleblock, with entangle, with a D scimmy attack, will deal out high damage, with no escape.
it's easy to finish with the DDS dealing 2 20+ attacks means no chance of healing.
Team melee/range/mage
A lethal combination brining all sides of the combat triangle together. they are equipped for
any situation whether it be a melee, mage or ranger they should have ease taking them down.
just god spells there best arrows and a DDS special should work.
XIIe. Prospects Of Pking
Well the prospect is always cash, to pay for new equipment, better player killing skills or just
even a retirement fund , a want deny PKing is profitable, but in low levels it takes a lot of
time to make cash, coming with higher levels brings bigger prospects, and a career in a way.
It will never really be as profitable as barrow merchanting or party hat merchanting. its still
the risk and skill what you will be using, makes it more exciting, and you will enjoy it, and
get better, learning new techniques, and some better K.O's to use on your enemy.
XIIf. Pking 101
Just before you go into the big world of PKing just remember a few things. be cautious.
People aren't always legit they backstab, betray, team, and are very powerful, the
inexperienced may cost your life. Remember that you have a lot of things at your command
use them, spells, new weapons, Armour (use them) its your prophit and your skill that will
pull you through. just do your best out there, there are more pkers than ever nowadays, so just
make sure you come well prepared.
XIII. Staking & Dueling
XIIa. Introduction to Staking
Welcome to The Duel Arena
This is where stakers become richer than merchanters, you'll get the cash but less fame :p,
some famous people stake party hats like Libum 1 (a friend I haven't spoke to in ages :o), and
azn auora , making upwards of 100M a day when there lucky. :p I know some people that
stake in Billions some of RuneScape rich, and elite. Let’s take a look at the staking menu:
Always remember to check the second screen for rule changers. You could possible use your
pure he as well to give you a "Fake Advantage" so you could just start with about 50K stakes,
just to slowly make a profit. Well now you know the basics lets take a look deeper.
XIIb. High Stakes, High Risks, Making Profit.
Now The aspect of making a huge profit is risking it. and I mean risking hundreds of millions.
party hats and rares, not recommended for people who just don’t want to risk it. Climbing Yet
another ladder of success, the place where you stake party hats, and meet keen stakers, who
have been in the game so, so, so long ago. People have experience what other people do not,
this is where they go through a staking career, you get your name known, and you get the
riches. Duel arena is your playground, and its where millions lay within a career of hard work,
money and toil. Will you Reach the top.

XIIc. Starting A Staking Account.
A staking account isn't really a term, it can be your main, or a pure, the mains are used for
staking in excess. so basic trick staking is involved with pures. Read the PKing section of the
guide, there is no "Real" way to start a staking account. people use mains, there pures, and
just some random account, so choose carefully. Mains With a high strength, should consider
using a DDP++ and a whip combination to produce the mass damage, where as mages should
freeze an opponent and provide damage. but its up to you really its what suits you watch
videos see how people kill other people and what weapons you use.
XIV. Dragon Hunting
XIVa. Introduction To Dragon Hunting
Dragons are RuneScape's most popular monsters. Strong, fire Breathing, and undefeatable
without an anti dragon shield. Other than being the most popular monster, they have there
ways of making money too "wow, what is RuneScape coming too" dragons have a expensive
drop. They always drop there hides and there bones, 'every time' green dragon hide is worth
1,500gp - 1,700gp and bones are worth 1,300gp - 1,400gp meaning a big healthy chunk of
profit, every time you kill one. Not to mention all the level 3 clue scrolls, and rune drops.
Meaning excessive money, then there’s combat exp for your level. What can go wrong? Well
for one thing when you are killing green dragons in the wilderness, just outside of Edgeville.
There are a lot of pkers. and sometimes some macroers (easily killed), but then again its not
all that bad. You can bring back 20K + every run and the treasure trails can go up to 4.5M+!!.
So I'll give you some more info on how to get started
XIVb. Green Dragons
Green Dragon:
» Green dragon are level 79, with 75 Hitpoints
»They drop green dragon hide, as well as bones, not to mention lots of herbs, clue scrolls, left
halves, armour and weapons
»Killing 1,000 green dragons, mounts to about 1.3M with just there bones and dragon hide
»On average you will get 3 - 10 clue scrolls level 3 (per 1000)
»Always Bring an anti dragon Shield, or firebreath potions, to stop the fire breath from
dealing high damage
»Green Dragons Are ONLY found in the wilderness
»there are 4 "herds" in the wilderness ranging from different locations
»PKers are always at the level 3 wilderness "herd"
»Take Lobsters they pose no threat with anti dragon shield (to level 60+)
Probably the best spot if you want to bank fast, and get some quick kills. Only problem is this
spot has a lot of people and a lot of PKers. meaning a lot of competition, and a lot of hostility
This is probably the best spot for no competition and probably the second best for banking
almost no pkers, and plenty of dragons.
Quite a Bad spot although there is no competition for dragons meaning some easy kills.
The worst spot by far. no where ear a bank and it has quite a few ancient mages up there (be
cautious)
XIVc. Blue Dragons
» Baby Blue Dragons are level 48 with 51 Hitpoints
» There is Only one location where baby blue dragons are found in one location
» they do not breath dragon fire
» they drop small dragon bones (only useful for prayer)
» They drop nothing else
» Blue Dragons are level 111 with 109 Hitpoints
» They drop blue dragon hide and bones
» the dragon hide is worth 2K+ and the bones are worth 1.6k - 1.7k each!
» The Profit Can Be Huge
» They are only found in 3 places within RuneScape non in the wilderness
» You Must Have an Anti Dragon Shield or be prepared to be turned into fried toast with
dragon egg on top.
probably the second best location with some good kills, but there are a lot of people that
usually come here as it is near a bank and convenient to use all round it is also the only place
where you can get the blue dragons
probably the best location you will spend time banking but almost no one goes there meaning
you will have almost every dragon this is also a useful spot for ranging greater demons
in my opinion the worst as there is only one dragon and there can be 3 people there at a time
meaning less drops i would only recommend using this as a range training spot
XIVd. Red Dragons
» Baby Red Dragons are level 65 with 68 Hitpoints
» They only drop baby dragon bones
» they are only found it one location
» they are only reasonably good for prayer and training
» Red dragons are level 152 with 142 hitpoints
» They drop red dragon hide and bones
» they have a large profit
» the bones are worth 1.7k and if you can find the right buyers you can make a huge 3k - 4k
per hide!
» remember there level 152 so you need a lot of good armour
» remember an anti dragon shield
probably the best for red dragons its some times crowded but otherwise very well off. with
good training prospects, as well as huge profit possibility of making 32k upwards every run
that’s with 14 food
This isn't really recommended if our only training and burring the bones at the same time
because there are a lot of pkers and no bank really near by. not recommended.
XIVe. Black Dragons
» Baby black dragons are level 83 with 82 hitpoints
» They are only found in 1 place like all other baby dragons
» you will need no dragon shields
» they hit frequently
» black dragons are level 227 with 200 hitpoints
» they are so formidable and you will need to be level 120 + to start making profit without
wasting money on supplies
» you need an anti shield or prepare to be cindered
» the king black dragon is level 276 hitpoints unknown
» it hits high frequently and can kill you easily
» you will need a team
» and an anti shield.
by far the best place it has the bank near, and it has a good ranging spot, all what you need for
the black dragons.
probably the worst, only really funding place for the KBD, as you fight them for the drops
and not the hides.
another good one being so near the Lumbridge bank so take all your food and head here
