Rep Power: 2 | | | I'm sorry but single player private servers are a thing of years past, Atleast post a decent guide upon how you may create a decent working server for you and your friends.
I don't approve of private servers much myself, each one of them is a hard coded, badly written source. Those which do not use these pathetic sources are kept very much away from release.
Either way this guide would be much more interesting if you gave an insight into java, link to some tutorials. Then teach portforwarding etc, so people can actually run these servers for their friends.
Afterwards show them how they can actually work the sources themselves, after reading the tutorials they will have a good hand on the java object style of programming. And should hopefully grasp the concept.
If you cannot provide these things for the readers I suggest that you don't create guides. Although some people may be happy with this but I'm sure they would appreciate it much more if this guide taught them something that will occupy them for more than 10 minutes.
Best Wishes,
~Abyssal (Do we have seperate Runescape private server/ Runescape retail sections? If not i'd like to see some) |

If that makes no sense, then I mean the person who is hosting the server, the owner, versus a person who has been promoted from normal player to mod, then to admin, but not owner yet....
I am geting myself confused just typing this... If you are the person who is hosting the server, then you are the one with the files, and therefore the owner. If you go into the character files, and find the person with the stats you would like to change, then it is very possible to change the stats. You just need to have the knowledge to do all of this.
Finally, the admin is just an admin, who does not have the files, and is not hosting, but has been promoted and has the administrators commands. |

Rep Power: 4 | | I meant I don't think an ingame admin can change stats. The server admin should be able to change stats though since you have all the files. I don't know how you would though since ive never tried. |
