i played runescape cause i never heard of WoW up till a yr ago... then my friend let me play his 60 druid and i got hooked bad....

As many have said already, I prefer Runescape over WoW because of the money issue.

I would certainly say that people choose WoW over Runescape because of the mass hacks that can be involved in it.
