Dokken’s Herblore Guide
Many people have asked me; what is the best way to level herblore? There is no best way because everybody has different preferences. Here are several ways to level herblore.
Fastest Method
The fastest method for raising herblore would be to buy all your herblore supplies from the Grand Exchange, and make the best potion you can at your level. However, this can be very costly. To maximize speed, you can buy unfinished potions and just add the secondary ingredients to them to save time, this doesn’t give the full amount of exp/potion, but it drastically speeds up the amount of time you will have to spend making potions. A huge downside to this method is if you make the best potion you can for your level, it doesn’t mean it will sell in the Grand Exchange, you may end up being stuck with potions because of this.
Cheapest Method
The cheapest method would be to obtain the herblore supplies you need as drops from fighting, or farming the herbs yourself, and crafting the vials you will need. If you don’t want to obtain supplies that way, you can still buy them from the Grand Exchange. If you don’t want to spend a lot on herblore, you should calculate out several different potion types. Several factors you should look at are; how many potions of that type will you need, and the total cost to make a potion of that type. (vial, herb, secondary ingredient). You should compare the cost it took to make the potion against the value of selling the finished potion.
