First of all I am quite sure that some of you know what Bitorrent is.

This is not safe in Germany, sorry! It may not be safe in other places, find out yourself.

So Bitorrent is a client for downloading torrents. Now what is a torrent, you may ask? It is simply a type of file that will allow you to download a game, a program, a video, music for free, taking about 2-4 days.

So basically you are going to be brought unto knowledge that will change your life forever.

First of all let's get the client so we can download the torrents.

These clients are small but detailed and virus-free.

For Windows: µTorrent - The Lightweight and Efficient BitTorrent Client
for Mac 0S X: Azureus : Java BitTorrent Client - Download

Note: for Azureus, once downloaded don't bother with Vuze we shall use a much better site.

Ok so once you have downloaded one of these clients, go to a torrent source. I prefer thepiratebay.org

go to that link and put in a game name, or a video name such as Call of Duty 4.

Note: you can get games for game consoles such as PS2/3 and Xbox if you burn the data onto a DVD disc.

Note: Torrents are not completely virus free and I recommend to run it through VirusTotal - Free Online Virus and Malware Scan, try to download a good rated torrent and not a bad one, forget about space, this is your computer.

so now once searched and found, click on it's name, not it's type.

Now open Azureus/µTorrent

Then download the torrent and basically you should go through a simple procedure of adding it. Then basically let it download.
Tip: do not leave to many windows open so that is will download better, and try to download one torrent at a time, or else it will take days.

Note: Macs always don't take as long.

So there you go, a simple guide.

Please ask any questions and I will try to reply to them. But I'm not an expert so don't expect much from me, go back the the client site and go look for FAQs and you should find them.

Oh yeah one last thing, Don't ask me the question "is it illegal?" You know the answer

I think that everyone knows it too, but It's always worth posting for Reputation and there are still quite a lot of people that don't know, I just found out a month ago

Yes. You will need a website to search for torrents, like thepiratebay. However it is of course illegal to download copy right protected material via torrents.

Torrent has been developed to share files with friends easily and not for warez .

Please use µtorrent at your own risk. It is possible ( Chances are extremely low) that police could find you and fine you hugely. please check if it is safe in your Country.
So far: Sweden is 99% Safe
It is NOT very safe in Germany.

I can confirm it's safe in Sweden, the police even wrote in the newpaper they stopped looking for filesharers. And there is usual only 2-3 ppl per year who get caught.. and yeah look at tpb..

Comcast is shitty, also there is bypasses to make them unable to check what you're doing, I also know comcast were throttling BitTorrent. I have read a lots of articles about BitTorrent and comcast and I'm quite sure they're losing a lot of customers
