    Probably free because Norton has turned crap over the years.

    To be honest, free ones do a much better job and the more experienced computer users wouldn't invest into Norton nowadays.

    Very true but there are idiots out there who will still buy it and you can just sell it to them for $30. I would purchase it but I don't want to wait for a rebate. MalwareBytes is all I need and if you aren't stupid, it should be enough.

    Ubuntu all around. Dual boot with Windows and dont download stupid shit and youre set IMHO. Although personally I use ESET and I prefer to keep that over Norton. But hey, freebies are always a nice thing to have.

    I see ESET and Avast! the best.
    Avast! shows you statistics that it took on every anti-virus program. ESET isn't between them though ^
