    Are external hacks...

    Are external hacks really 100% safe?

    Qazzy says so:

    However, I was browsing the forums a bit more I found this:

    Safer =/= 100% safe.

    Could someone clarify this for me please?

    The only real way you can get banned is if you're blatantly cheating with a external maphack.

    For example, if you play a team game(2v2) and tell your allies if they're being secretly rushed or some kind of cheese they will feel suspicious. Or if you're hovering over your opponents base every now and then for now reason.

    Thank you for your prompt reply. I was using the external map hack was feeling a little anxious.

    Personally, I only have the units list available for view and have all minimap or map revealers turned to off.

    You've put my mind to rest. Thank you.

    Edit - I've been using Qazzy's External Maphack but I can't seem to get the buildings list available for view. You wouldn't know anything about that would you?

    Ravindu, as far as I know, internal hacks tinker with the inner functionings of Starcraft 2 and thus have a possibility of being detected.

    External hacks, as long as they are fully external are indeed 100% undetected from Blizzards anti-cheat system. The only way you're gonna get caught is if you make it obvious you're maphacking or Blizzard are magically allowed to once again scan for these external hacks like they once did with WoW. However, that was 6 or so years ago and nothing has changed since, so I guess it's safe to say external are undetectable hacks and it don't matter if it's public, pay2use or private.

    One thing about external hacks is that they have zero protection (unlike VCMH) and if Blizzard does decide to flip the switch and start scanning externally, the hack will become 100% detectable.

    Are they really likely to do that?

    And if so would there be some kind of notification on their website or something?
