Icefrog did a good job, it is time for another version of the popular and awesome warcraft 3 custom map: Defense of the Ancients. The Dota 6.53 version mainly contains a lot of bug fixes and improvements to make sure that everything is as balanced as possible. Icefrog also introduced another hero which is currently worked on. It is in the team the Sentinel and named: Goblin Clockwerk. This Defense of the Ancients version is the one required for joining current warcraft 3 custom games. As size of the map is around 3.5 megabytes you are most likely unable to download the map ingame and are forced to use an external dota download like this one.

Our Dota 6.53 download is fast, easy and free to use. Place the map in your own custom maps folder. If you have problems then make sure to read the Dota maps thread. It contains a guide how you can easily set up dota and an overview of all current versions available.

and they changed the whole getdota.com site =) und btw the new hero rocks like hell. seems a bit overpowered so far.
