    Bock Battlenet ports

    Hey

My son in playing Warcraft 3 over the battlenet. I wanted to block the ports in our Router (TP-Link ports 6112-6119) But I think he still can play. Did i bocked the write ports? He has a W-Lan connection.

    6112 Should do it.

Perhaps your son is smarter than you think and unblocked it? XD

i thought port 6112 is just for hosting games... so i guess if you block this port he wont be able to host, but he can continue joining to bnet. and anyway your son can easily switch ports in the warcraft 3 options. :/

The Port you can change in Bnet is just for hosting games.
If you don't open this port, you can't host.
But you can still connect to Battle.net & play with others.
    Hope I could help.

6112 is the standart port. But you can choose every port you want. It just has to be blocked / forwarded ( whatever you need...) in your router!
    & this port mustn't be " used " already.

Why don't you want him to play? Gaming is good!

But to answer your question, if you get a program that USES not blocks port 6112, 6113, 6114, 6115, 6116, 6117, 6118 and 6119 he can't play. But don't do this it could cause family problems.

Important: It need to use ALL ports in the range.
