I think that GHost++ was better.
You can give both programs a try, and judge by yourself.

Ghostone is basicly the same as ghost++, just with lots of new features and a nice GUI with customizable themes and such. I'd vote for GhostOne as it has all the features of ghost++ and even more.

you need to be able to host if you gonna use ghost or ghostone...
u can change command often its like ! t.ex. !pub impossible bosses
all maps you got in your folder is in the ghostone. ghost++ i dont know
in ghostone its a stuff called rootadmin think its in ghost++ to then go to ghostone options or ghost++ options then its some pages i think (ghostone)
then go to page rootadmin and write ur name to add normal admin in channels and more write !addadmin name. or !acc name 1 for full admin

    hope i were to help

Aiight, time for some GHost usage 101.

    To answer your first question:

It really depends what you want, I myself, use GHost CursesMod due to it's nice clean consol UI. But, when it comes to GHost++ or GHostOne, I'd definitely go for GHost++. Why? Even tho GHostOne has a few more extra features and a GUI (Which isn't really nice, it's all messy and isn't made to it's fullest) it isn't very stable and has a lot of bugs. GHost++ may not have a fancy GUI but it works and has all the needed features for a beginner to use. Now, I say this as a GHost developer and moderator from their forum

    To answer your other questions:
    1) Yes, you need your ports to be opened and forwarded properly.
    2) For a list of commands open the ReadMe.txt file (provided with download) and scroll almost to the bottom of the file. You can't change/add/remove commands without knowing basic C++ knowledge and I don't recommend you try this until you get used to GHost and shit.
    3) You don't "add" maps to the bot, as long as your bot_mappath in the default.cfg is set to your directory in which you keep your Warcraft III maps and if you use the !map <part of the maps file name> to load it you're good to go.
    4) Just add yourself as a root admin in your default.cfg, bnet_rootadmin = <Youraccountname>

Really, read throught the GHost wiki for all the information you need (GHost++ - CodeLain GHost++ Community Wiki). Me and a few other people are writing it, so you can just ask me any questions here.

I started with a GHost++ and it was simple to set up.
then i upgraded to GhostOne when i realized it had mroe features.
    Now i use a GhostOne and a Ghost++ CurseMod.
overall i vote for GhostOne to be more useful
