    Increasing Warcraft III Performance/FPS

I Have a vista and have had many lag problems over the few months i have had it. There are alot of things you can do to increase your Overall FPS/Performance While Playing Warcraft III TFT. Though this is quite small it contains a few methods i found increase my perfomance while using vista over my time. I would love to here you feedback on this. For the record im using Vista - Home Preimium

    Method 1 - Aero Theme

While you may think that using this theme with all its special effects will decrease your fps in warcraft III , for me i was wrong. While using Aero Theme I had about a +10 FPS increase while playing Warcraft.

    Method 2 - Priority

Making Warcraft III The highest priorty worked a little for me , though it was small i saw less lag spikes and a little fps increase. So what you do is Press CNTRL + ALT + Delete and go to task manager. Then go to the proccess tab and find "war3.exe". Right click it and set its priority to "Highest".

    Method 3 - XP

Comparing My XP's Frames Per Second And My Vista's FPS. My XP Has a usual 50-60 FPS while my Vista has around 20-30. So i had the idea to run Warcraft In a XP Compadibility mode and quess what , My Fps Increased to About 40-50 ( Note My Vista is a laptop ). So heres how to do this.
    1) Go to your Warcraft III Folder.

    2) Find war3.exe And Right Click It.

    3) Go to Properties and the compadibility Tab.

    4) And Click the box " Run in combadibilty Mode " and select Windows XP Service Package 2.

    Method 4

OpenGL , Even Blizzard says it's okay to use.

    OpenGL Video Mode:
Your target line should look something like "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -opengl

    Few more commands:

    Windowed Mode:
Your target line should look something like "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -window

Software Transform and Lighting Video Mode:
Your target line should look something like "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -swtnl

Start the game in Reign of Chaos Mode even though you have the expansion installed:
Your target line should look something like "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -classic

Hope you enjoyed this and try testing it out , feedback is suggested.

With SP2, vista will have the same fps like Xp. Thats what i found out.

And if Aero Theme will decrease your fps, you should start thinking about to remove Vista and install XP. Vista & Win7 need a high amount of ram... if you have 3-4gb you should have no problems at all with Warcraft.

Also update your drivers can increase your fps. Disable Vsync too..
I dont think that using OpenGL will increase your frames unless you have a 5 years old graphic card.
