Thumbs up Deprotecting Tools + A guide - How to deprotect any map. [Completed]

If you want to deprotect a map, there are some simple ways to do this, that don't require much work. First, I don't advise doing this to complicated maps with lots of models\triggers. (Password for archive is "xyeta", this is making sure people read this.) Models and triggers cannot be recovered if the deprotection is good. First, download MpqEditor, Nathonmaxy's deprotect, and the wc3 map you wish to deprot. The first two are located at the bottom of the post. Look on epicwar for the third.

    -Ch 1- Identify Locating crashes.

    Try opening the map.
If you get a critical error go to ch 2
If you get Unit Data Missing Or Invalid go to ch 3
If you get Trigger Data Missing Or Invalid go to ch 4
If you get others, post them here with the map and I will help as soon as possible.
After you solve your first protection problem, go back to this step.

Open up the MPQ editor and open the map. Then do what the steps say to solve deprotection.

Chapter 2 - Solving critical error.
If you get a critical error, open up the map in MPQeditor, click on the map's name, right click somewhere not on a file, and click "Add File(s)". It should bring up a folder dialog. Find the folder "BaseMapUnits" and click "War3map.w3i" in there. It will ask if you want to replace the file. Click yes. Now there should be no more crit.

    Screenshot of Critical Error

Chapter 3 - Solving Unit error.
If you get a Unit Data Missing Or Invalid, open up the map in MPQEditor. Click on the map's name in the list at the left, and click anywhere but not on a file. Click "Add File(s)" and go to the folder "Complex Files". Add the only one there (ill add more, like a blank war3map.j later). Click yes if it asks you to replace it, but its improbable there will be one. Should be fixed now.

Chapter 4 - Solving Trigger error.
This is the protection that most maps have. This is when you whip out Nathonmoxy's deprotector. First though, open the Mpq Editor and press "extract" on the war3map.j, the script file. Now open deprotector and press "Browse". Select map you want, select options you want, and press "start". If you get an error message like "obfuscation detected" you have no script in the map now. If you don't get the message "Map has been deprotected" tough luck, look at ch 5 for recreation of maps.

Screenshot of Trigger Data Missing Or Invalid

Chapter 5 - Recreating maps options.
If you want a map recreated, msg with the map or follow the steps below.
1- Go to World Editor and save a blank map into the folder
2- Copy every MPQ file except the war3map.j (and the w3i if it causes errors)
3- Have fun modifying the map. If you don't have doodads, msg me, because I wont explain the complicated steps here.

The way I activate single player

Note : This doesn't work on highly corrupted maps.
1- Extract the .j file, open it in JassCraft included in the package.
2- Search on the text it gives when you try to save singleplayer
3- Remove all script from the "if" statement to the "endif" statement.
I know this is a 'noob' way of singleplayering a map, but it normally works (for me at least).

    Have fun! ;)

Nice might lower requests for deprotect maps, although people are to lazy to do themselves. Will try this way out when you finish.

Can You make a video? please~
Right now I'm learning how to deprotect maps, but I don't exactly know your guide.
the map type is ch3. You said "open up the map in MPQEditor", but when I open it, it show up an empty dialog of "select list file for XXX.w3x" with "ok" "Autodetect" "cancel" 3 buttons.
    I got stuck here.

the map I want to deprotect is:

If I'm not wrong you can use the autodetect function.

yes, I did both selections of autodetect function(use internal listfile & autodetect file type) and both got error pop.
Only on this map. others maps work fine.
