Fel Orc Mod

First off it is UNDETECTED and safe for use on ladder.

Well this ain't very much a hack but I couldn't find any mod category so I decided to post it here.

This basically changes the models/textures and some sounds for the Orc race into fel orc race.
It's cool if you're tired of the green orcs. It works in bnet and is undetected in ladder. Hope it works and that I zipped the right file. It's a bit huge but I couldn't find any other way to do it. Made this for fun and didn't take much time. I used the same technique as wow model changing.

Installation:

Place War3xLocal.mpq in C://Program files/Warcraft III.

BUT MAKE A BACKUP OF THE ORIGINAL WAR3XLOCAL.MPQ.

It does work, just takes a LONG time to load for some unknown reason. It's from imageshack so I really don't see why it takes forever to load, even for me.

That's some neat stuff perhaps you could implement an injection system which would allow people to mod other races too?

I use mywarcraftstudio. I simply extract the files from war3.mpq and war3x.mpq, rename them, and place them in war3xlocal.mpq with the right location.

For example, if I want a chaos blademaster (red) to replace my blademaster, I will extract the file ChaosHeroBladeMaster.blp (texture file) and rename it to HeroBladeMaster.blp, then I will edit War3xlocal.mpq and place it as Units\Orc\HeroBladeMaster\HeroBladeMaster.blp. Then I will do the same for the model and the portrait model.

As this is a texture/theme/materials modification i can guarantee you that it will never end up detected.
It's like in Counter-Strike, Material/Texture hacks there is never getting detected by VAC.

So i dont understand all the fuss about this subject... You should quote me in your first post and maybe edit the detection statuses abit.

Well they could check for modified mpq files but they won't because they don't care about this game anymore, so you are right. Plus this isn't really a "hack".

just discovered an "bug" (at least i call it so), while playing dota... peon shop is fel orc peon that nice
but spiritbreaker is now an fel orc shaman that kinda malicous because he originally looks like a cow and now he looks like another hero(lion). did you planned that? or did this happen accidently?^^

Well that's normal they use the same model, but no, I didn't think about custom games and I can't do anything about it besides removing the fel orc shaman model that replaces spiritbreaker.

and it changes witch doctor(he gets the model of a another dota hero -.-), too^^. kinda mess up dota . though luck.

but the transformed spiritbreaker is so crazy cuz its now an melee tank looking like a range caster

oi dont change night elf to naga. Change Night Elf to Corrupted Night Elves. Add satyrs and more corrupted buildings etc... Change undead to naga much better xD
