Dropbnet is (currently) undependent from any Warcraft 3 version, for it only drops your bnet connection, which has nothing to do with a patch (unless there will be a patch that fixes the dropbnet exploit).

Nope, you will NOT be banned if done properly. Warden is a server-sided scan-application. Therefore you won't be scanned in publics anymore, for your connection to bnet was dropped before. But still remember not to use it in ladder games, as I explained in the start post ladder games are based on a different server configuration, which means they are hosted on blizzard servers and not locally on the host's pc.
I use it frequently (playing quite some games most days of the week) and am using TyranO's 1.24b maphack listed in this board, but I did not get banned so far, nor did any further notorious things happen. I reckon you might have done a mistake (e.g. you failed changing the realms to d/c from or so), until blizzard won't change their warden engine.

still got banned when using dropbnet hack with tyranos mh. and i used it corectly. just a notice to all.. you can still be banned if u drop from bnet. somehow.
