DropBnet Tool & WC3Banlist

Hi there,

I was wondering if any of you use DropBnet together with WC3Banlist.

I am encountering this issue where after I execute DropBnet, I can no longer use my usual /commands to add banned people to my banlist. For example /banlast or the like. I presume it is because /commands don't work after being disconnected; but WC3Banlist is a local program though.

Anyone knows if there is a workaround to this?

No. I don't think you can use banlist while you're " disconnected " from Bnet.
But you could remember the names and then ban them! This would be a way that will work

Thanks for the replies; I guess the shortcut codes won't work then, need to alt tab to ban people (which is more troublesome). Last time I set up hotkeys to automatically ban people using banlast and then sending a message to all saying the person is banned. Now that becomes more difficult.

Hi everyone, I've found a workaround to use the DropBnet and WCBanlist slash commands together even when not connected to Bnet.

If you go to Preferences, you can set some custom "phrases" that lets you program certain autobans. For example /b = /banlast <insert other parameters". This is the first half of the workaround and it will not work alone.

To make it work, assign a hotkey to a /phrase and then pressing that hotkey will send the phrase directly to wc3banlist and it has been proven to work even though you are not connected to BNET and normal slash comamnds fail.

Do try it out and let me know if it worked for you as it did for me.

Cheers!
K.
