It's fairly important because some programs will either auto-inject when the game is started, or apply their patches automatically when the game starts up. That means closing the game would be insufficient, you'd have to close the other program as well.
On an unrelated note, blocking useast.battle.net with your firewall is superfluous and unnecessary. |
I got the offsets somewhere and created a source myself, much like the older c++ opensource we had back in 1.23. It injects upon execution and the memory is cleared after I kill the process. I'm aware that blocking through firewall is unnecessary, but it's so easy to do that can't hurt to, right?
I looked back a bit and I think I know what got me caught and had slipped me on my last posts. Last
dota update introduced the new scoreboards and I'd use one account to feed my main account with gold throughout the game. I usually only do that playing with friends on my team but lately I've done that with strangers along, someone must've picked up on it and it's pretty solid proof in case I got reported to Blizzard.
I had never been banned and some people say the first time is probably a 30-day long ban. That remains to be seen.
