new to wc3

| new to wc3 so i finally got and started playing wc3 today, but when i tried to connect to battle net it said i wasn't connecting to a bnet server and if i was using a modem to open the internet, well i ant using a modem and i dont know how i would be connecting to a different server, since i bought the game at target......anyone know what the problem is? >i already looked on blizz and they didn't really have any support for this issue, other than saying that this is a common problem when you pirate there games. grats blizz you still suck <  |

| some people have that are you in the US? i think it's something in your router when i messed around with my router and checked some wacky setting, i got that error when i turned it off, i connected fine |

| Download new patch and go to your gateway selection, it's on right side from connect to battle.net button. in every chases it doesn't pick up your gateway automaticaly. |

| i get that same error all the time. when it happens to me all i do is reboot and then it always lets me in the next time...idk i think its just my computer is weird but thats what works for me. |

| wow i really appreciate the help guys, but since i am so new to wc i dont know were i can get the patches and were to put them (your link is bad mostwanted) i have tried to run bnupdate but it says that i cant run it as a standalone, i need it to run through battle net so thats another dead end. but if i put the patch in manulayy it should work, SO DOES ANYONE HAVE A RAPISHARE OR MEDIA FIRE OR WHAT EVER DOWNLOAD LINK? i just finished reinstalling it, still getting the same error i looked at my port forwarding and tcp udp connections the ports wernt being blocked, but i setup a path just in case i have had port problems with world of warcraft wrath of the linch king, but all i had to do was restart my pc (guess my pc's is just as retarded as yours chaos dreamer) So i guess ill manually put the patch in, thanks agian guys. +rep you all! |

| yup now it works, but i may not play wc3 that much, my first game i got ganked, ill give it another try i guess. thanks guys /35yeros +rep's you all in the face |
