how can i def my base vs mass tanks?

i was owned some minutes ago of a "tank rush" (i didnt have MH)

i went RT and i was ud, my ally Ne (he leaved after some minutes)
the two other was both human and i went dk and some gouls....
i scouted one of the bases and attacked (pretty noobish)
he had 3 tanks and a paladin (1) while i destoyed the base
then mass thanks whant into my base and fokused at main.
i tp and drive back the attack killing hero etc....
and maybe 2 minutes after the other one attacked the Ne base (there was now dh level 2 and 4 dryands) sametime first one attacked me once more with tanks and mass foot (i got owned)-_-

so wtf? whats the best way to beat mass tanks?

I always thought tanks sucked, and noone would never mass them, except for AA, so I got no clue, sorry.

Air is all you need, also your team mate left to the advantage was to unfair.

Is this for ROC or TFT, becoz in TFT tanks have an upgrade which allows them to pwn air so easy..

wtf air has no sense against tanks even a peasant is better against a tank
only thing you can do is to build some towers in your base and behind the towers u put some meatwagons 4-5 of them are enough
only way to defend tanks
